Japanese food: You can do everything with rice. Yes, everything. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even dessert.
Filipino food: The key ingredients are soy sauce and vinegar. Or sometimes ketchup. Or sometimes all three.
Indian food: Good luck trying to make it, because there are several hundred variations and spice combinations of every single dish. All of them are immensely flavourful and delicious, but very labour intensive.

@MGL Shezzy Shepherds pie and cottage pie are the same thing but with different meat. They look and taste like utter garbage unless they’re prepared by a very, very good cook. Like, a chef in a several hundred year old pub that’s privately owned. But then again, anything can taste good when made by a good cook, so that doesn’t really count, since both of those dishes are barely edible even when done right.
Fish and chips is a big NO. The chips are always too big, they’re either soggy or too hot still by the time you eat them, and they leave your hands greasy. No fucking thanks.
@@titanqueen7217 the fish at my local chippy is so bland it's laughable but the chips invoke a lot of nostalgia for me seeing as I used to go to swimming lessons with my family and we would eat chips in the car before so it automatically tastes good for me
