    Cook the rice: Cook the rice following the package instructions. Once cooked, spread it on a plate or tray to cool down completely. You can use leftover rice as well.
    Seasoning: In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter. Then, add the urad dal and chana dal. Sauté until they turn golden brown.
