Domek Stefana Żeromskiego to placówka muzealno-kulturalna, znajdująca się w gdyńskiej dzielnicy Orłowo. Jest prowadzona przez Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Orłowa.
Placówka mieści się w domku, w którym od maja do września 1920 roku mieszkał wraz z rodziną Stefan Żeromski - wybitny polski prozaik. Podczas pobytu tu interesował się budową Gdyni, odbywał liczne wycieczki po okolicy, spotkał się również z Janem Kasprowiczem, Janem Lechoniem, Antonim Abrahamem, Bernardem Chrzanowskim oraz Jakubem Mortkowiczem. Podczas pobytu w Orłowie powstał utwór pt. Sambor i Mestwin.
Wystawa muzealna pt. „Życie i twórczość Stefana Żeromskiego” umiejscowiona jest na piętrze budynku. W jej ramach prezentowane są pamiątki poświęcone pisarzowi: fotografie, kopie rękopisów, listy, dokumenty oraz plansze informacyjne. Znajduje się tu również biblioteczka, zawierająca stare wydania dzieł Żeromskiego. Całość uzupełniają meble i wystrój w stylu epoki. W urządzonej na parterze Domku kawiarni prezentowana jest wystawa archiwalnych fotografii Orłowa i Gdyni oraz plansze z życiorysem i portretami pisarza.
Muzeum jest czynne w godz. 11-16, w lipcu i sierpniu codziennie, w pozostałym okresie w soboty i niedziele. Wstęp wolny.
Stefan Żeromski's House is a museum and cultural institution located in the Orłowo district of Gdynia. It is run by the Society of Friends of Orłowo.
The facility is located in a house where Stefan Żeromski - an outstanding Polish prose writer - lived with his family from May to September 1920. During his stay here, he was interested in the construction of Gdynia, made numerous trips around the area, and also met with Jan Kasprowicz, Jan Lechoń, Antoni Abraham, Bernard Chrzanowski and Jakub Mortkowicz. During his stay in Orłowo, a piece entitled Sambor and Mestwin.
Museum exhibition "The life and work of Stefan Żeromski" is located on the first floor of the building. It presents memorabilia devoted to the writer: photographs, copies of manuscripts, letters, documents and information boards. There is also a library with old editions of Żeromski's works. The whole is complemented by furniture and decor in the style of the period. In the cafe on the ground floor of the House, an exhibition of archival photographs of Orłowo and Gdynia is presented, as well as boards with the writer's biography and portraits.
The museum is open from 11-16, daily in July and August, otherwise on Saturdays and Sundays. Free entrance.
