By 1995, Slug and D Spawn had been rocking together for a few years. However, '95 was seeing rapid growth in the popularity of an infamous collective known as Headshots, of which Atmosphere had become a part. The Headshots crew planned to release a compilation titled "Eighteen Shots On A Bus In The Middle Of Nowhere" in the Fall of that year, featuring The Abstract Pack, Phull Surkle, Urban Atmosphere, Black Hohl, Beyond, and more. Urban Atmosphere's "Ear Blister," was planned to be released on that compilation, complete with a music video. However, the compilation never materialized and neither did "Ear Blister" as an official release, though the song was a prominent fixture in their live performances around this time. For the last 2 decades, fans have been talking about "Ear Blister" and expressing a desire to view the scarcely seen music video. Well, here it is- the full-length version, available for the first time ever!

Damn Slug has been in the game for more than twenty years, tours the world, plays to sold out venues and got on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, yet cant get played on the radio or get a cover on the SOURCE or XXL. Figure that one out
might be because they dont want to be a part of the mainstream? ive been to one of their shows, honestly small venues like the one i was at are the perfect places for hip hop artists to showcase their music, its more up close and personal. rhymesayers has a legacy in the underground. and lets face it, Many times when music hits the mainstream the songs arent true to the artists making them. but at the end of the day lets just be happy that we have this music, and we can keep it our little secret.

You can like Slug more, I love Atmosphere as well, but claiming Slug is better than Eminem is ridiculous. Just shows your bias, or lack of knowledge on hip-hop. Any aspect (impact, flow, content, rhyme schemes, multi-syllable rhyme patterns, vocal tone, battle raps) of the art form you could be speaking of, Eminem is that dude. At first I thought I would love this, but the new audio doesn't really do it for me. The problem is the old version of Ear Blister seems to have disappeared off the web in the weeks following this upload. I don't know if it was a demo cut or what, but that version sounded more energetic/raw and that's why I loved it. Now it seems I won't be able to hear it again and that makes me sad
Regardless, props for uploading the full video. The full version didn't exist on TH-cam before this, so thanks for that. I just wish I could hear it with the audio I came to love
