23:01 Iori Shakehands 😂 I like that to 😂, Yes I love this episode was brand new to Manga and OG fans. Also all I'm going to say is the story behind his scar is a really powerful one, Samurai X trust and Betrayal shows it beautiful, but don't even think about watching till after the Kyoto Arc it's basically a huge spoiler but excellent animation about his earlier life. The first opening of season 1 and first episode actually had very small spoilers about his past only OG fans would spot I won't say though, but whenever you see everything you could rewatch and may notice. Awesome and funny discussion as always keep it up guys and God bless 🙏🏼😁
First! xD This is a beautiful episode. Glad they decided to animate this one shot. It's finally time to see The Seijuurou Hiko. Can't wait for the next episode. 😊
I wonder if this episode suggested that the Giichi guy is the father of Tanaka Giichi, one of Japanese prime ministers in the 1920s. Tanaka Giichi was born in 1864 near the Keio period as portrayed by this episode. He's also from Choshu. He fought during the Sino-Japanese war & Russo-Japanese war and became major general and then Army Minister of Japan beforer he became the Prime Minister in 1927.
Oh, "slashing at himself", just like Shakku! Nice catch!! Nah, Kenshin didn't kick the sharp edge, just the side. About Cho, to be fair, his "I'm going skewer the baby" at the end was a taunt to get Kenshin to attack him. But since the doubt still exists on whether he would have tested Shakku's last sword on the kid, I think it's fair to say he's definitely in the bad guy range.
I will remember this as the Kenshin cat episode. In Code Geass they had a cat episode where the cat stole Zero's mask. There must be lots of cat lovers in Japan because several anime have dedicated entire cat episodes I guess to offer fan service to cat lovers.
If you're interested in more backstory, you should watch the trust and betrayal ovas, they're fantastic. But after this cour finishes to avoid minor spoilers
@@annadomingo3153 Absolutely. I don't get why so many people can't understand that. I'm guessing most of them did it in that order, and/or have never read Jinchuu arc at all.
Yahiko's father also joined the Shogitai and was killed in the Battle of Ueno. In S1-ep3, Yahiko explained this.
The Ishin shishi faction members considers Hitokiri Battousai as a hero of the Revolution. That's why this man bowed and respected Kenshin's words.

Either way we'll eventually get the OVA content when they adapt the jinchuu arc
Watching the OVA is actually a MAJOR spoiler
If this anime gets more seasons, it will eventually reach the Jinchū arc. It is better to watch that whole arc instead of the T&B OVAs.

@@hunterhunter5998 but will it be as good as the OVAs? i doubt it very much.
Hopefully it'll be depicted in the Jinchuu arc, the arc following the Shishio arc, which the OVA is based on from in the manga.
