This is an amazing tutorial! I've never worn makeup my entire life but lately I've had the sudden urge to try out eyeliner for a sort of punk look, and this is the simplest clearest tutorial I've found

I have tried for over 35 years to put eyeliner on my top lid and I fail every time. it comes out more like a smeared dotted line.

Never touched makeup before, besides concealer, until now and this was a great tutorial I’m so happy with how it came out
When I was a teen, I gave up the use of make up for extra sleep in the morning. In my 20s, I gave up again because the few make up tools and kits I got seemed too complicated for me to use (and to note : I bought a nude eyeshadow palette that was made for beginners and came with instructions to make 3 looks with the palette). I'm now in my 30s and this video convinced me to retry again. Got to the cosmetic aisle of the nearest store, got some basic make up with the help of the cosmetic lady working there and decided to sit in front of my computer for a couple of hours to try and follow these instructions. I got a very close result in 2 tries!! I feel so motivated to learn how to use make up and do some simple little things and improve my look at my own ease!

Do you recommend eyeliner for those of us with hooded eyes? Also, my eyes are downturned on the outside. Is there a subtle eyeliner trick to turn my eyes up to look more youthful? Thank you!
This is how I normally do my eyeliner, but you've shown me something new! I have scars on my eyes at the lashes from styes as a kid. Using a lip brush will help me clean up the oopsies I always have there.

OMG thanks I got my eye liner good and it's my first time using it
I have nearly zero experience with make-up, but some of my friends have decided it would be fun to wear matching make-up for an event (I will begrudgingly go along with this if they really want). This makes it sound like eyeliner is designed to highlight one's eyelashes, but I don't actually have any eyelashes. Would you say eyeliner is a reasonable or a ridiculous idea for someone who is lacking lashes?

My issue is that when I put on eyeliner, it makes the pale skin of my eyelids that’s visible between my lashes stand out even more because the contrast is so great
Maybe try some eyeshadow?
