  • The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush.     Thanks for the vid, speeds things up. I just picked up my first Link G4+. I decided I have lost too much time over the years cracking my Audi Motronics only to get about 50% of the needed control. I learned the hard way watching pros like you sir. You always have time earned tips. I am building my own loom also for an Audi 4.2l 40 valve v8, vvt, v intake. I have always hacked existing looms but this one I am laying out all new wire. Do you have a preference with wire sizes and types? I do want to use multi strand of course, and maybe THHN. But when thinking about resistances and impedances maybe there is a better theory that you pros go by. I would guess that matching the same wire used on each sensor would work, or maybe you have some input. Thank you. subscribed.

      I always prefer to make a new loom as I see lots of issues with older looms. I apply load ratings of each circuit when choosing wire size. Cheers Kelvin

    Quick question. Can I lock the ECU and use the same unlock code to unlock it again or does it ask for you to create an unlock code? For example, if I sold it and wanted to ensure for the same reason as link that it got to the legitimate buyer before I gave the code?

      I work on a few emtron ecus as well but not often. Not sure if they are factory locked. If someone has set a password thats different and the correct password is required

      Im sure someone with enough knowledge could fit a link ecu to that if required. I have a guy over here doing motorcross bikes with them. Cheers Kelvin

      Ill only unlock ecus which I have sold. I'd recommend you contact the dealer you purchased it from. Each serial number is tracked so the ecu can be traced. Cheers

    It's been years since I bought the car. I'm overhauling my car's engine. I want to update the data. I don't know where the brain came from. What should I do? Can you help me unlock the ecu?
