Great basses sound & aesthetically speaking but just too damn expensive... Maybe tgey are cheaper in America than in Europe because our Taxes are crippling & then theres the shipping/postage & packing/insurance & finally import tax & by the time you add that all up its just too much money & hence why Alembic have a niche following of players who are willing to pay their asking prices... I dont think i know of any bass player who wouldnt want tl own one of Alembics beautiful bass guitars but unless youve got serious cash or have saved for quite some time know that you are definitely buying an Alembic Bass then to the rest of us its a price that weighs too heavy for just 1 Bass Guitar & then theres the problem of if you should, for whatever reason " need to sell then your going to have to put your ad up on bass forums as guitar stores will never pay out the money this beauty is worth... Ive had a guitar store i bought at for devades offer me less than a quarter of the full price of a MusicMan Stingray as if its a cash sale its half the trade in price & sometimes more... How i do wish to own one but i have to be realistic, plain & simple... .....

Its already a octave lower but an accentual mid and High end is unque to the instrument and carves a different texture in a band or ensemble
