- I almost had forgotten to make a video about Cyno and Emilie together. They highlight a lot of what I find very enjoyable about Emilie's kit, and how new character releases can breath new life into older characters!

Baizhu stole Yaoyao's job
It's so sad that Cyno is the most regretted character, he's super flexible in my opinion and can provide great damage if you build him / your supports correctly. Probably my favourite impulse pull.
I have his c4r1 no regrets, still one of the most fun/badass characters in the game and with good enough investment he does amazing even for f2p.

Tbh with cosntellations factored in I think hes a but more underwhelming of a unit than Raiden kit wise, but I definitely like him more at a baseline at C0
@@Solunerracyno actually does a lot more dmg than raiden with their respective teams, but for your polearm account i think raiden is definitely better.
Cyno does more damage so it makes sense he is just more reliant on the right teammates to really work. Raiden Shogun is just easy to get going.

Cyno aside, Emilie baffles me. I pulled for her (and got a double, so she's c1).
She is so strong bro, I don't know why so many people dismiss her.
And I pulled for Kinich to make a team just for her. Which is now my favorite team.
She was just overshadowed by the Natlan hype. People will probably pay more attention to her during her rerun.
To me it almost feels like she does more than my on fielders sometimes ( i got lucky on lumidoce and thats the only 5 star weapon i have).

Most likely a side effect of being released literally right before 5.0, not to mention notable theorycrafters that imo ignored how usable she could be in different contexts (by not properly showing it, they usually acknowledged things like this Cyni team but then go back to spreadsheet impact and say “but is really better to just do these specific teams with Emilie”).
Not that everyone watches every theorycrafter, but they often tend to be the origin point of sentiment around a characters mechanical utility in the community as a whole, I think.
And then theres the whole stupid concept art thing that I dont want to get into. Quite frankly I think people just wanted excuses to skip Emilie and used anything negative they could think of to justify it (which is silly, just say you dont want to pull for a character because you are saving for Natlan units rather than screaming about concept art being pink)
The moment I saw Emilie's design I said skip. Didn't care what her kit is, still don't. I am irrational and I am the problem.
Emilie is amazing. A halfway built Emilie can hit harder than alot of heavily invested characters
I use her on a burning baizhu team with deyha
Yep shes an extremely good unit for diversifying team dmg output as long as you bring in Pyro in some form, but also engaging in hiw she requires you to know how to maintain his damage uptime in some contexts (particularly if you being hydro into the mix)
After 2 years since relise they finaly made dendro support for Cyno. Future impact indeed
If you like quickbloom Cyno realistically Furina/Baizhu do just as well as this team (if not better in some ways), but I personally feel Emilie is far more unqiue with him. Plus thats two five stars units vs one!
@@Solunerra Baizhu's burst still feels too short and his dendro application is not enough for substantial dendro core damage. Basically I almost always use two dendro units (Baizhu+Nahida, Baizhu+DMC, Nahida+DMC), so one can cover for another, which is sad, because it restricts team building. I methodically pulled for every dendro unit Cyno may want and now I await Emely rerun in hope she can finally be his perfect match

Honestly I just love that Thoma is getting more love in this new meta. Went from shitty shielder with energy problems that no one but me and 12 other people liked to play with, to shitty shielder with energy problems that is an essential part of many very fun and high DPS teams 🎉. But seriously, I'm so happy that his strengths are allowed to shine in the new meta :")

I saw you played genshindle on stream and got Xiao. I know he basically has one "perfect" meta team and you usually like making content about less standard team comps. But maybe if you decide to do that Xiao video anyway you can consider exploring his non-optimal teams? I like Xiao and I want to pull him, but I haven't build Faruzan and I don't really want to pull Xianyun. Yet my Wanderer teams perform decently without Faruzan. Maybe Xiao's reliance on his perfect team is also overrated?
Yeah, I dunno what I will do for the Xiao video, yet. Definitely not a Xiao/Faruzan/Furina/Xianyun combo haha. It will have to be something using him to trigger reactions in some form, I think.
Will tweak the music in the future. I think I actually had it lower this video than I have in the past. Mostly its a problem of certain parts of the music being much louder than other parts, so if I make it too quiet then you basically hear nothing for part of it lol. I could find more neutrally balanced bg music (volume wise) but I like using the battle themes in Genshin so I dunno
imaginarium theater made me really regret not pulling emilie, cause I actually had quite a lot of fun playing her with my teams. maybe on a future rerun
Sad.. that I wasn't playing when Emilie was released.
I wouldn't worry too much. She'll likely be rerun soon-ish, as hoyo usually keeps a character's first run and rerun rather close together. It could be a couple to a few months maybe, but that's not too bad considering their patch release schedule.
I think she will get a rerun sooner rather than later due to the relevance she has with different units releasing in Natlan

I actually regret my Raiden more than my Cyno despite not using either lmao. I like Cyno but he shares a lot of characters that I already use in different teams (Xingqiu, Yelan, Baizhu) and I use Yae Miko enough to cover my electro needs. But this is an interesting take on a team comp and I will try t use it myself. Especially since I have Emilie and her weapon, I have Thoma and use him in my main teams (along with him being triple crowned), and Yaoyao... I have her lmao.
Since I got Chevreuse I feel the same. She renewed my love for Cyno. Chevreuse + Xiangling + Fischl + Cyno is great. No constant refresh of skills or ultimates, no energy problems, this team for me is great.

You need to use a 2nd electro character in this team, otherwise you'll lose a lot of aggravate damage to overload.

I adore Cyno, it's so much fun to see him being used! I hope he reruns soon-ish. I would offer up a dad joke or a bad pun but my brain is mush... not mush-room in there for jokes at the moment. LOL there we go, found one.
Emilie fixed alot of older teams that struggle. Cyno is finally in a competent team thanks to Emilie existing and their timing matching up so well

For Cynos damage itself, yeah you can use other units, like Baizhu/Dendro Traveler maybe, but theres various potential problems with that, and youd just want to go down the quickbloom route with those units instead realistically. Imo Emilie really is the component here that makes this work by how compelling her off field damage contribution is

I think Emilie came out at a difficult time for a new, underhyped character - just before a new region, with a kit based around a reaction that didn't have many popular teams (burning). Before she came out, the only reason I had even checked for Burning/burgeon teams was to use my C6 Thoma.
I'm looking forward to her first rerun now :)
As a side note, I really appreciate you not just using covers of Genshin's soundtrack in your videos. It's a nitpick on my part, but I hate the overuse of things like tnbee in videos even when the official soundtracks release just because the music made by HoyoMix is just flat out better and retains the "soul" of it to me. Patience on part of the creator pays off well for audience members like me.
candace would actually be okay here since she doesnt apply enough hydro to really interfere with the burning aura heavily, plus the hyperbloom + normal attack dmg buff she provides should make up for any potential dmg lost from emilie i feel
if you have c6 chevreuse, you can also use her for pyro resonance + 60% electro dmg on cyno!
I´m kinda regretting not pulling for Cyno, he´s so much fun, it looks like.
When it comes to fun him and clorinde really are a blast just they both have isssies kinda like mualani lmao
i will never regret cyno. i dont use him much anymore because of how clunky he is, but i love him and for that alone i will never regret the investments ive made

Huh. Might give this a try. Honestly haven't thought about cyno properly since I got his friendship 10. He's still well built but I'm for sure gonna have to pump some extra ER into him. I recently built her so maybe I'll give it a try with Dehya. 4th slot is pretty flexible. PA Nahida, Fish/shinobu for ER, Sucrose for extra pyro app, EM, and PA.
make sure to use thundering fury instead of gilded, thundering fury is his BiS set

I built an entire team for Cyno, I just needed Nahida. When I lost that 50/50 I gave up. Baizhu and Yanqing are super useful for other characters, luckily, but Cyno has always been that one unit I didn't want to give up on. I might pull for Emilie on her next rerun just to give my boy justice.

What irks me is that people are saying that Emilie is forgotten or underappreciated - it seems that most Natlan characters will be using her in some of their best teams! If Mualani and Kinich is anything to go by, she will be a mainstain for a good while into the future. She's just the last unit in the region and like all others (Kazuha, Yelan, Baizhu) she will be one of the most valuable pulls in the game. You can call it coping, but nobody with a design this good should be this disliked...
Don't take this the wrong way, but having both cyno and emilie at c2 is like 35%+ more team dps (not even taking the signature weapons in consideration). That's what is making this 45k~ dps team look like a 60k~ dps team.
i LOVE reactions teams, one of my faves i Tighnari, Emillie, Dehya and Dori, I called this one (2 Dendro, 1 pyro and 1 electro) Carbonara xD just because i want to add more variations to culinary teams. I have one called Caprese (Dendro, Hydro, Beidou, Hydro/Dendro) its basically a variation of Salad, one called Popcorn (Albedo, Hydro, Dendro, Pyro or Albedo, Hydro, Dendro Sucrose/Venti/Kazuha) and Gnocchi (Electro, Geo with Petra/Cinder, Venti and Dendro). Its so dumb but i love them, and they work pretty well in the spiral abyss xD
I wanted him so bad when he came out, didn't pull him BUT got him oon his rerun. Which I am still grateful for. I don't really use him no but he's so fun
I love using Emilie with Thoma and Kuki on Burning/Overload. She's such an insanely powerful character, and honesty not as niche as I first thought she was.
Been wondering how to power up Cyno without Nahida, and honestly this team looks so fun to play. I'll give it a shot in Abyss sometime soon.

I kinda get why people regrett Cyno. Tho my biggest regret was kokomi because I haven't really used her since freeze died.
Every day is just a bigger slap to the face for not having Emilie... I was so addiment to skip her (until I read her kit and started pulling) that I must have manifested the 50/50 loss
I would love to see the day to not regret pulling for cyno. To each their own, I guess. I want to like him, but it's just sad every I try to make him work. It's almost like a toxic relationship 😂
I love Emilie, too. She's such a basic character, kit-wise, but I really like everything about her, and I'm looking forward to finding out which team I like her on the most.
i feel like clorinde would be really fun to play in this team too due to the fact that she really favours overload teams since she is ranged and literally chases enemies around, and i think kokomi might work as a hydro applier that doesn't compleately remove the burning aura, i don't have emilie to test if it works, but it might
If you got emilie early and got xiangling or Bennett or maybe both you can just focus on dodging and sometimes attackin

tf with an er% sands seems really overkill, i think around 28% er on tf is fine, but you clear abyss anyways so it clearly works good enough anyways!

I'm a Cyno main and I honestly was curious about this sort of team (I play him in quickbloom mostly) and if her application synergizes with him, but I had a guaranteed when Emilie dropped and there's a lot of Natlan characters I want, so I ended up skipping her for now. It seems to be alright and actually pretty fun, I might get her for him and Kinich teams one day. I would've liked to see a showcase with a more, hmm, traditional build with more EM and his BiS instead of atk/ER sands and PJWS. Just to see the real dmg of a C2R1 Cyno and get a better idea of how much the aggravates of mine would do in a non-Furina qb team. Like this it looks more of an Emilie showcase at times lmao
Feel free to join my streams and remind me to show it, or you can go back and watch my polearms only streams testing Emilie a bunch (I initially did all my testing with Cyno on SoSS).
It performs better, but not in a way that meaningfully improved clear times (this is just an effect of how diversified the team dmg output is and how good my build is even with an ER timepiece). I dont prefer a higher damage build because I dont need the higher damage, ultimately, and Id rather have a higher energy build that improved how he feels to play and gives me more team flexibility (not needing to do double electro).
Cyno is not made to have the big high multiplier hits that Emilie gets (aggravate is at its best with lots of instances of damage that trigger the reaction, not just one big number on screen), but you could meaningfully get higher damage on Cyno in this team by using Xilonen as the fourth slot in the future especially.

since shenhe is locked in hoyo jail (and is just really niche in general), i wonder how good of an alternative xilonen is to her in cryo teams. people talk about replacing kazuha with her, but im thinking of how i can use the two together lol
They (Kazuha and Xilo) will have a little bit of lost value together (res shred does have true diminishing returns) compared to using in seperate teams.
As far as comparing Xilo\Shenhe goes, thats a little bit odd to evaluate due to how Shenhes buff is a flat dmg buff, so it really varies on how much of a relative increase she is causing for a given character. For a unit like Rosaria I think Shenhe is meaningfully better (for reducing each others energy needs and Rosaria having relatively low multipliers that gain a lot from a flat dmg buff-a higher multiplier unit gains less relative value from Shenhes buff), but doing something like you mention could be better in other ways too

not really, not that much better than baizhu in his best teams. something to note about her is she has fixed kazuhas issue with cyno now, so shes a final piece to making cyno aggravate real. we just need a better electro sub dps than fishcl.
Yao yao instead of fischl is interesting, fischl A4 go brr and all. And thoma can be build full HP+ER cuz no burgeon
I shouldve probably mentioned that Fischl may apply too much electro (preventing burning from tirggering), but I didnt think of it at the time. Would be interesting to test
I recently found that using yae and cyno together is nice cause his burst ends up being ready again before its cd is finished so ill probably start using him a lot more

I love aggravate cyno. It’s the best. Thoma is a good flex slot instead of raiden.
Thoma or Dehya is kinda required in this team haha, so I would call him a flex slot personally

Yeah I think I cut that, and how I dont want to switch builds all the time, from the video. Theres plenty of options for the last slot in this team, and a second electro is almost assuredly best for most players on a normal account

Been playing this team with Fischl instead of Yaoyao, cleared last abyss with it! Obviously not possible on polearms, but that variation's been one of my recent favorites.

Does high pyro app help or hinder him? Asking cuz curious if pyro archon will be good for this team if she does high pyro app. Which seems like what she'll do considering how many characters want it
High pyro app would make it nearly impossible to keep quicken uptime, which is very bad for Cyno's personal damage
It would be bad because extra pyro application would make it harder to trigger quicken. But that could be mitigated by having stronger electro application in the 4th slot, and I dunno where the line would be for how much Pyro is too much. So its possible it could be an upgrade in a given context, or possible its just worse lol
I basically run this team with Razor and Chev instead of Cyno and Yao, razor still gets the 60% elec bonus from chev just without the res shred and Razor can wear the Unfinished rev set to buff his physical and electric damage
oh and the 40% atk from chev's passive
Yeah I may eventually try variants of this team on my main account if I get around to leveling Razor!

Yeah, thats obviously a strong team option. But its also kinda a team format that I feel is more enjoyable with other electros, plus that is three limited five stars vs the one required (Emilie) for this variant. Ultimately the teams are doing very different things overall, and could have some situanal advantages/disadvantages over another
@@Solunerra Hello! I don’t get we having it 3 limited five star is a bad thing. I mean every one have Furina, and Nahida there are a lot of people who have her, and she’s rarely been used nowdays, and only Baizuh is required. But I still think that Cyno is the most enjoyable; because I can’t handle seeing other electros does 18k only hyperbloom damage, and having their abilities ends way to fast before the buffs even expired…
I feel like fav thoma and/or yaoyao is more worth it to help for energy than tanking cyno’s damage with an er rope.
They are both on Fav lol. He has more energy than he needs, but its my preferred build because I have more than good enough damage output to vastly prefer the extra energy.
If I had worse overall artifact quality or didnt have C2, maybe Id feel differently, but I enjoy this build the most with him, and I dont want to be forced to play him double electro all the time when I may often want Raiden elsewhere. If it was a normal account Id just use Fischl probably though (unless her application was too high, but theres other options there too)
