I love my rg353v. are you running the stock firmware or something custom? I recently updated to the newest version of ARKOS, which includes a new feature for controlling the governor for the chip's power. I guess up until recently, devices like these were always running at 100% power (For consistent performance), but now you can choose from a max power, min power, or dynamic on-demand power setting, even on a per-rom basis. I've been using the on-demand option and performance is still great with improved battery life :)
