this hit me differently cause he had a girlfriend, but i was the one there for him. they argued, fought, etc. he didn't realize i still existed.. so i let him go, telling him we can't be friends, and now i'm the one regretting it.

Thought I should say this here for those who want to read, up to you but it’s a story. So I work in WLFF (wild land fire fighting) and I’m on handcrews. Not hotshots, but the next best thing. I’ve been missing family, getting slightly hazed and harassed, and I have more cuts, bites, blisters, and so on than I can really remember. I’ve been pushing for 2 years now, and I have to admit it’s the hardest 2 years I’ve been dealing with so far since I just became an adult, and not even 3 months in to being one I got this job. Part of me wonders at times if I should just give up, but I know I can’t. I got family, friends, and a lot of people counting on me and the crews I’m on. It sucks, and I miss a lot of people I had to leave to get this job, but I have a dream that I will be able to make a house on a lake nearby that can house my entire family, my partners family, and a few extra rooms. Im scared of it, but screw it if im not helping what’s the point. Thanks for reading and hopefully you will know my name in about 10-20 years if I make it. I have a plan, but words are easier said than actions are executed. Saying you pick up a box is easier than doing it, and so is saying Im a WLFF employee.
