Thank you for sharing this, Tom! I've always wanted to ride brush jumps like this, never thought someone would post videos so we could "ride along"! What a great little racehorse jumper you have!
Thank you for sharing! It was invigorating to watch this! Seeing this from your point of view made me feel like I was (almost) in the saddle. Your horse is very passionate about the sport and very competitive and it was great watching.
Wow. What a feeling. Seeing the video out of the perspective of the rider. I'm too scared to go for jumping or hunting horseback. But seeing how well behaved and skillfull you and your horse managed it all was a terrific experience. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Germany.
This horse loves his job! I like how he looks at other horses while he passes them, he's basically giving them middle finger 😂 you're an awesome rider too!
@@xSophieX cheers Sophie !! All I can think of now is what would of happened if I’d of started him write up front rather than the back ! Like you say he made up all the ground you could ever hope for .. his is one in a million that’s for sure , I’m so lucky 😁
If he's not TB what is the breeding? I had a 15.3 Irish mare who flew like this. Take anything on and gallop like her life depended on it. Stunning ride and yes that horse is brave.
@@egeegee7146 ah thank you he is !! He is an Irish sport horse about 63 percent blood ..by neardock who was by diesis a successful racehorse on the flat .. and the dam side was an ISH ..so ISH x TB basically ❤️
Really enjoyed this thanks. Is this classed as a "Hunt Ride?" How does it differ from point to point (or does it?) I've hunted a couple of times and ridden in Hunter Trials before, but competing collectively cross country like this looks awesome, I want to try it!
It’s the original point to point where you race from a set point to another and the there is turning flags rather than specific fences and you have to make your own route to the finish
@@JoanneFisher-zb4wj hey thats great you should definitely join in ! so no restrictions , the foxhunter is open to non TB and TBs as are the main races , the foxhunter classes are just slightly less distance ..you just have to have a fully fit horse to fun 3 miles, be over 16 and have third party insurance. if you check out GB HUNT RIDE LEAGUE on facebook all the info of whats on is on there , hope that helps

@ this was about 50 years ago. It was in the dark, obviously, possibly at Garthorpe. I rode a mare and ended up in the water wet through. Derek Ricketts then rode her in a class and won.
@ I’ve googled it, and it was in 1972. It was recreating a race from 1890, of which there is a beautiful painting on line. Organised by the Belvoir, so someone in their seventies may recall the race. Let me know if you find someone who remembers or competed in it.
I’m Sorry you can’t understand It’s sarcasm for pulling my arms out so brilliantly / adrenaline is one hell off a drug, ..I appreciate this horse more than anything ..
Teamchasing is teams of 3-4 around 1.75 miles 20 fences at either novice , intermediate and open .. these tend to be 2.5 -4 miles no real set height or fences you instead have turn flags and it’s up to you to make the shortest route from start to finish line 🙂
1:57 when the horse came up I was so confused as to why his reins were so long 😂😂 until a few frames later and he had no rider Hope horse and ride are okay in all seriousness
