How to Create a Custom 2D Drawing Template | Autodesk Inventor 2022

Learn how to Create a 2D Drawing Template from scratch. To do this, we will open an existing .dwg template, make our edits and define our own title block, then we can save this as our own custom 2D drawing template for future use.
In this tutorial I will show you how to create my personal Title Block, feel free to copy this and edit it how you like.
After we've created the Title Block, I will then show you how to add smart text (also called automized text) to your Title Block. Smart text is text that varies based on parameters relating to a part/ assembly or to the drawing sheet itself. For example: Material, this will vary between different parts we design.

Great tutorial. When adding text, if I choose to center-align it, will this change the "anchor point" too? This would help me centralize the text in the middle of each title block box. Thank you.

This is great! Thank you! I think this will be an easy answer for you, but I haven't found it yet. When entering text into my title block I have the problem of it only enering a limited quantity of characters before it "wraps around" or eners the rest of the text underneath the line I want it to be at.

Hi there, I had set my Sheet size to A4 landscape options followed by H210mm x
W297mm, I found that the sheet seems like has its own Margin Top/Bottom/Left and Right at 10mm respectively. This mean my most outer frame maximum size has to be H190mm x
W277mm. What I wanted to ask is that, can we customize the margin top/bottom/left/right?

Why do my "Drawn by" always go back to my original name after opening a new drawing? I have to manually go and edit the name in iproperties every time.
