I was always confused by this games ending as a young kid. Maybe I was too dumb and illiterate. But so The gooey boss ate megaman. So I Was like oh, no more games. Then I remmber the cutscene where lans dad was like look what I found. Then battle network 4 came out, and I was like uhmmm is this a new megaman.exe? My brain didnt realize their was a link. lol

@@rmat9023 Lan's dad found out that data absorbed by Alpha (W3 cronies and MegaMan.EXE) wasn't destroyed with Alpha, but relocated somewhere safe, most likely a gift from Lan's grandfather, who served as the last seal of Alpha - considering he also showed up later in the series.

@@無人-o7s you are incredible. thank you for sharing! as expected, the Japanese version of the script hits even harder, because of the deliberate use of "sayonara." in English, we don't have a special word for "goodbye forever." there is only "goodbye." also, the English version makes Rockman sound much more confident. the original Japanese script has those meaningful pauses, making it seem like Rockman is afraid to die, but is willing to do anything to save Netto. overall, though, it seems like our localized version was very close. i'm glad to know that my childhood memories didn't stray too far from the original story.

I’ll never forget working so hard to FINALLY beat Alpha at 2am. Jumping around my room reenacting the final blow (appropriately with the PA Life Sword) only to cry my eyes out seeing MegaMan give everything up to save his brother. I still cry two decades later over that Proof of Courage. Glad to experience it all again with my wife and watch her journey through all the games.
God I miss these games, particularly 3 and 6. I loved bug style in 3. Just the random buffs and debuffs were always fun when playing against friends especially the ones that also liked that style. When you realize they can't stay in the middle rows because of bug drift was always fun.

Battle Network 3 has always been my favorite game since it came out, and I've played at least hundreds of games. The Battle Network games won't be as good now compared to when i was a child, but I'm still playing them, right now on Operation Shooting Star on my 3DS.
I mentioned this by your BN3 Remix Medley, but it's even more so now. This tugs at my heartstrings just as much, if not more, than the original. Flat out amazing work, Koki. Also, this track alone makes me wish that I could like a video more than once.
Have not seen that promotional artwork since seeing it in Blockbuster when they had all those Megaman games on sale for ps1 back in 2003. Back when legends was cheap to get lol. I came across this art and saw the game scans and was intrigued as to how the game was layed out based on the scans. First time encountering MMBN.
This game used to be my favorite of the Battle Network series, until I finally got to play 6. However, one thing 6 will never beat 3 on is its story - hearing this theme playing during the ending is still, and probably will always be, one of my favorite moments in a videogame ever!
3 was MMBN at its best in my opinion. A similar game of a larger scale would be nice.

MMBN3 was my first BN game and it made me cry in the end when Megaman sacrificed himself to save Lan from Alpha.
