That stadium is actually not the venue of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The Olympics are held at the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest). What you see is the Workers’ Stadium built in the last century. It is surrounded by the most famous nightclub area in Beijing.The direction of the National Stadium is over the tower like the three nails that you saw before, that is the sightseeing tower of the Olympic Forest Park

Thanks. I'm nowhere near Diamond level - Golden Circle allow one to collect points if book direct; reckon the wine came with Suite; I booked with Expedia so collect their points as can use on any hotel brand ;-)
