Another video, great job! Good to see the PayPal up now!
This is brilliant Neil. I love listening to your talks. Insightful and engaging.
Just your yearly reminder. We would love more videos 🤞
Great find,
He just seems so chill
cheers
Get after it, good sir.
Be as long as you like. This was an amazing video.
I'm delighted by your work and the commentary you offer.
cheers it means alot when people comment any requests ?
Good video; your works offer a particularly good insight into this period of European (pre-) history, which is otherwise the preserve of abstract hypotheses and unassuming pot sherds.
Woooow, I've watched the other videos a lot recently, its good to get another one. Your content is awesome Neil!
doing my best Jorge
Way undersubscribed Channel. here ,a Sacrifice to the Algorithm-Gods. May they shine upon your Channel!
Another fantastic video!
Interested in the smaller blade presented here; available, how much.
The very small dagger with the wide blade looks like the knife they use to open oysters. I’m thinking copper would probably have been too soft to withstand the twisting movement used. Bet they ate loads of oysters though.
yes to soft and theres not many oysters in Wilshire
As usual, great stuff. And good the paypal link
A great Man and Historian.
Great stuff, Neil!
Another great video! Really interesting stuff
I can listen to you speak all day long
Fascinating stuff, thanks!
Wonderfull!
What are the dimensions of the blade? And what was the average length of a copper knife?
10 inches max down to 2 inches
@@BronzeAgeSwords thank you for the reply. I'm very interested in the early bronze age. I'm currently working on a world set where the people and cultures are technologically 20% bronze age and 80% stone age.
love it!
The first tiny dagger has the same shape as modern oyster knives.
interesting thank you
Another fantastic video Neil! What do the edges of a bronze age dagger look like when they've been forged? I mean, how can you tell?
You are a hero, dear friend Neil!!!!!
I've got a lovely bronze dagger made by a Swiss fellow, to go alongside a Acheulian handaxe made by the chap Mr Lord who looked after Grimes Graves, in his day. I'd heard you were not making things for sale to the public, so it's good to see these videos. I've cycled all over looking at ancient things.
shipping to europe is a nightmare at the moment and but are sytill making stuff and selling but also got a few other things going on in my life , but true believers beat a path to my workshop
Absolutely fascinating! Thank you for sharing.
still have two more films in edit so keep an eye out
When I was a young lad, I dreamt of one day becoming a historical smith such as yourself, recreating history. While my life has gone in quite a different direction being a voice actor/writer... I still feel really inspired looking at these beautiful bronze swords. And thankfully, I've kept my passion for history and the study of people's passion, craftsmanship in my own work to some degree with the types of projects I've involved myself in.
You're a good watch, and when I saw your video with Skallagrim all those years ago I'd had hoped you'd some day return and create content. I am glad you made the decision, you are most certainly welcome back.
Beautiful work, it will be interesting to see how you approach the fitting of a handle to those.
Thanks for sharing your time with us
