Thanks for putting this together for us Andy, it was interesting to see how she was painted properly. Still absolutely loving the sculpt as well she is such a beautiful mini.
So a cool trick I've learned with contrast paint on big, smooth surfaces (like the cape) is to do a 1:1 mix of the contrast with Lahiman medium. It helps the pooling/splotchiness of contrast on such areas really well. It's still advised to do some layering up afterwards, but you won't need to do AS much of it.
Beautiful miniature and beautiful paint job. Thanks for the video! I have the old Prophetess on horse which I believe goes on preorder tomorrow and I'm waiting for the other two damsels that were MTO to ship along with a few foot knights. I had to pick up the Warhammer Quest knight as I have wanted that mini forever and couldn't find it when WHQ was a thing.
Still waiting on my Bretonnians :( Probably will get the stuff not before end of April, waiting on the starterboxes, the MTO, the other direct only and well Saturday will have more stuff I will probably not get in the first production wave...
I've hated Bretonnians for nearly 30 years (old Undead WH player). That said your army looks wonderful! Good luck in any other upcoming tourneys with them!
These "Old World" figures/sclupts are so much better than the Age of Sigma or 40K ones (which frankly look over done and stupid). Excellent paint job as always!
I do not get it. New TOW minis do not match what they re-release AT ALL. No respect for this past era and nostalgia. Do not get me wrong. New minis looks great... If they were intended for Cities of Sigmar or AoS.
@@MediocreHobbies I ment they are done in very different styles from different eras. There is no other way to like them if we want to use them in TOW but this is very wierd design choice. Inconsistent. It is like mixing 1994 chaos dwarfs with FW Legion of Azroth.
You may call yourself mediocre, but I think you do excellent work.
Yeah, it's really good quality and seems fairly quickly done too. Would take me many hours to get about 60% of the quality.
Far too kind pal.

I want another one so bad.
That TTC blue was glorious! Congrats on the element games mention yesterday in their email update for the Doombull 👍🏼
Cheers pal. It was a nice surprise.

I need to give that a try.
cheers for the painting guide for Damsel.
Anytime pal.
Amazing video as always. The blue you used for that cape is stunning. Also a big fan of the blueberry smoothie.
Thanks pal.
Beautiful job … the fabrics look immense
Thanks pal.
Amazing work! i ❤ your paintingstyle.
So nice to hear pal.
That is a gorgeous sculpt.
It really is.
Grateful to you for showing us the full video of this one. Was well worth it. 😊

This morning was a few more pieces so I’m a happy knight.
Yeah not gonna bother unless it is MTO until I have the other stuff I'm waiting on :/

Thanks pal. I get that.
Saved! Now we just need the model to become available 😛
Hahaha yep
I do like the way that dress came out, how well does that technique work with other wash colors?
I’m sure it looks great.
Ha Ha - coment number one - great video as always Andy.
Nice pal.
I'm still waiting for this model to be available in Canada, along with nearly everything else. ;_;
I literally just ordered the bsb and questing knight on foot about an hour ago. They were finally back in stock.
They had the on foot and on horse prophetess for pre order but no damsel. Have they indicated when they plan to release it?
Yep I should have ordered it. I feel stupid now.

Ah I’m a fan of most sculpts. If I get your point.
how the hell did you do the back of the cloak from the inside?? !!!! the mini can be seperated from the base?
Carefully lol. And it’s designed and stuck together but and easy piece to cut off.
Out of curiosity what size brush do you use for the eyes?
Small layer brush. Great point.
The Fae Enchantress is an elf, The Lady in the Lake is an Elven God, A bit different 😁
It's changed over the years, but the Lady has been Lileath for more than a decade at this point.
Hahhaa fair.
👍👍
Cheers.
For some manner of Lady!
Hahahaha for all manner of ladies.

I love both and so do most people it seams. They are all mixed in up in my army now and I think they match
