I met Henry once and I will tell you that the way you see him here is exactly the way he really is. Just the nicest, most genuine guy you ever want to meet. And about 4 and a half feet tall. Okay, that was a joke, but he is much shorter than I thought he would be (And Bill Hader is quite tall, which makes this even funnier on the show).
Henry is one of the most likeably, affable and genuine actors in Hollywood, which is known for insincere people. Entertainment is brimming with disingenuous people, while Henry Winkler sets an excellent example of humanity.
Lol Henry is so adorable in a "loving grandpa" sort of way. When he was using his phone at 2:58 you can hear him pressing numbers lol. He didn't even know what was going on with the phone anymore lol 😊😃

He’s such a beautiful person. My son and I were lucky enough to meet him and as a father seeing & hearing the way he treated my son that day he touched my heart.
Henry seems really kind. He was THE BIGGEST TV star in the 70’s. Happy Days, my favorite show ever as a kid.

Winkler has been an unexpected highlight of so many shows. I'm so glad he got a second wind this past 20 years. From AD, to Childrens Hospital, to this - hes always a delight.

I just watched this series over the last couple of weeks.
Such a strong show.
The way it deconstructs morality conflicts makes you care for people who would really be considered unredeemable.
All of the key players wanted to get out of the mess their lives had become, but the reality they were a part of and the weaknesses in their own judgements just kept pulling them right back in.
I've never felt so sorry for a hitman/serial killer/mass murderer before.
They call this a comedy though.
I suppose that is meant in the fashion of the Shakespearian comedies.
There is really nothing comedic about it.
Its funny that way.

I am so happy for him and all his successes in life. I remember him on the movie “Hero’s”with Sally Fields.

I think maybe Henry Winkler's "goodness" as a person is what made the Fonz such a great character in Happy Days. He played the cool guy, the biker guy, the scary guy, but at the core of it he was none of those "guys" cuz he emitted an underlying morality and goodness that made you want him on your side forever. Fonzy was fairness, as is Henry the actor.

I'm just finishing up season 2 of Barry. Great show and Henry truly is an amazing actor.
It's nice to see him be rewarded for his years and years of hard work. Barry is a really good show. It kind of has some tonal issues, but it transitions between the comedic and serious moments surprisingly well, so it never really takes away from the narrative. I'm looking forward to Season 3. Hopefully it lasts a long time.
What would you say are the tonal issues?
It would've been hilarious if throughout Ron Howard's directing career, he would be directing a movie and then after a particularly dramatic moment, The Fonz would walk into frame, go: "Eyyyyy" and give a thumbs up. Obviously for the blooper reel only, but still a great gag.
Apollo 13: Houston, we have a problem. Fonzie floats into frame: "Eyyyyy", takes a hit of oxygen from a mask and gives a thumbs up.
Dramatic scene in Backdaft where the guy gets burnt to a crisp and the fire blows itself out. The camera dollies back from crispy critter, revealing Fonzie, sitting on a rock, holding some burnt marshmallows on a stick. He turns to camera, goes: "Eyyyyy" takes a bite of marshmallow and gives a thumbs up. etc, etc, etc.
