  • This is a time lapse of my dragon trophy sculpt. I am using a styrofoam deer head mount, aluminum foil, wire, and Magic Sculpt (2 part epoxy resin clay that cures in 24 hours).

    Hi there! This video is perfect! I have a raptor looking dino head on the hood of my van. It's slightly bigger than what you have here. Anyway my original idea was a dragon. I created extra pieces to turn the dino into a dragon. Some crazy homeless person tore off the foam horns. I decided to leave it. Just recently I decided to finish the dragon. This video will be my guide. Thanks so much. I will make a video of the dragon I do and upload it to my channel later. Waiting for the weather to warm up a tad. Lotta snow right now on my van art car, ha! thanks!

    Hi David! This is amazing! How heavy did this guy end up being with the Magic Sculpt?

    Oh, wow!! What a beautiful dragon ! Thank you for sharing ! I have a concern ... I noticed you didn't wear a mask while spray painting the dragon. All those fume is seriously damaging to one's health, please do take care ... God bless and Happy 2017 ;-)

    Beautiful!!! Quick question though: does the uncured Magic Sculpt stick to the cured parts on its own? Or do you have glue the new parts on to parts that have cured while you weren't working on it? Or otherwise alter the cured surface so the uncured parts can adhere? Thanks in advance for your answer c:

      nightwalker4769 Magic Sculpt sticks to everything especially itself.

    May I ask where you got your eyes for this dragon at? How did you set up the leds for light up eyes on this one? I have been wanting to make a large dragon trophy like this for years now and keep getting hung up on the small stuff. This one is amaaaazing!

    • @DavidLeePancakeArt
      @DavidLeePancakeArt  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, the eyes are bob cat glass eyes , special order 50mm from Tochin taxidermy eyes. I used a battery powered led xmas lights and glued them in place before I applied the Apoxie Sculpt.

    • @DavidLeePancakeArt
      @DavidLeePancakeArt  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I used Magic Sculpt, a two part epoxy resin clay. Once mixed (equal parts) you have a 1 to 3 hour work window. The compound completely cures in 24 hours.
