@@Danielleb723 thank you it was not my idea. Can’t take credit for it. Several of the people on Facebook had made them and displayed them and then several people were asking for a video on how to make them so that’s why I made the video. I thought they were so much fun to decorate.
Really great! So someone gave me a tip to pour a little resin in the bottom first it may prevent some of the glass from falling out. It is important to start with something simple so you do not get discouraged. I did not talk about it in this video but wear gloves and a respirator and only buy VOC free resin. I know they say if you have VOC Free resin you dont need a respirator but I feel it is in everyones best interest. And I would love to hear how they turn out.
Those turned out beautiful! I’m in the Christmas mood now! Thank you for sharing . I did go and purchase those things that make holes. Great idea because I hate drilling. 💕

Hello, I am a new subscriber, and I love doing resin as well as watching other people do resin projects. You did a great great job on those little wreaths. Thank you for the video and I can't wait to see what you do next
Hi Linda, thanks so much for using my idea for your inspiration on these. They came out really cute! However, I would recommend making them a little thinner as they tend to get too heavy to hang on a tree branch. Thanks again!
@@DougMichaud-l2h yes and I was looking back and I could not find your picture. All I could find was your beautiful wave that you made which is something else I would like to try. I did notice that they were getting very heavy lol and yes, I would probably put a little bit less glass next time, I know I saw your wreath somewhere. I just couldn’t find them.
I’m sure you have tried multiple filling methods, so how do they turn out if you add everything in layers-would this help with glass not falling out? Very cute!
Actually, that was the only way I did it. Somebody told me to add the resin first or in a little bit of resin in the bottom and then I’ll prevent the glass from falling out the bottom.
It is hard to tell. Someone suggested that I mix the glass and resin in a cup then spoon into the mold use the resin sparing ly and as long as the resin has touched every piece of glass they will hold in place/.
It was not my idea. Several people posted a few pics of the donut wreath s on my face book page. Many people were then asking how to make them and was there a video. So that is why i made the video.
I think I may have gotten them from Hobby Lobby last year. There is a Christmas section where they have the little cards hanging with different scrapbook items on them. They are not paper but some kind of cloth I think.
I would prefer to put the decorations on the bottom of the mold and the glass on top. The rounded part is on the bottom and the flat part on the back. Not sure if it would work.
Quick question….is there a reason why you don’t put resin on the bottom of the mold, then add glass? Thanks so much for taking the time to share your wisdom.
It would probably be best if you did do it that way then I would not have the pieces of glass falling out. After I made the video someone suggested that I mix the resin and glass together and then dump it in.
@@rhondajenkins7761 so they have 2 kinds that they call crushed glass So there is this and it is very fine you can use it you just have to make sure you saturate it with resin you might want to mix in a cup with resin so it gets covered the dump in mold and sprinkle some dry on top it will stick to the wet and look sparkly on top www.michaels.com/product/clear-crushed-glass-by-ashland-10556540?michaelsStore=4813&inv=4. Then the secont one they sell as crushed glass is a little chunkier and is actually the clear class I used on my clear wreaths www.michaels.com/product/gold-crushed-glass-by-ashland-10556544
Why not mix the majority of your glass in the resin, then place your last layer on top, so when you use the last of the resin you won’t lose any glass at the end.
Linda when I make these I put a little resin in the bottom of each one then put the glass in. It solves that problem for sure.
Love these!

Could I use some of the candy decor sprinkles?
I have never tried real candy but you could do a test. I would worry that some of the colors might run. I should try

Yes you could use any kind of glue you want.

I had a few fall out also someone told me to pour some resin into the bottom before I pour the glass in then after also

Do you mean the crushed glass. The real small pieces or the stuff that looks like fire glass
