Due to you don’t watch games . AD will score a very slow 30, he slows the rest of the team down. When AD is off the court they play faster pace. He takes 10 minutes to gather himself. He cannot defend any physical big or smaller physical player . He can get boxed out real quick by a smaller defender. He play like a baby GIRAFFE. I have been saying to trade AD 2 years ago. You will see. Kyire is not a leader , AD is not a leader on the court. It will not work.
AD slander from Mavs fanbase is just because they’re hurt by the trade. AD is going to do fine in Dallas the only thing I’d hope he work on is his late game decision making, like rebounding and not taking care of the ball or fouling the 3 point shooter late in games.

Dallas made the right move. Before the trade, they had a 3 guard lineup basically with klay, kyrie and luka. They had a big but not a solid 4 man. You get rid of a point guard who cant defend but can score and playmake, and you bring in a powerforward who can score, play defense and rebound while being at his natural position. The playmakimg will fall into kyries hands and thats not a bad thing. Kyrie, klay and Ad. You got a solid 5 and 3. That team is ready to take off. The lakers got another guard when they have many who also cant defend and they dont have a big man. They still need to tweak their roster

Mavs lost a little offense but gained an entire defense. It's really that simple.
Also, they now get to exploit Kyrie and increase Klay's offensive utilization, which will in turn open up the interior for AD.
Ultimately, moving away from Luka's league-leading utilization rate will improve Dallas as a whole.

FYI Bubble AD was the reason the LAKERS won that chip in Disney. He played phenomenal.
At the end of the day Lakers won the trade by FAR. There's zero debate. Have a 25 year old global superstar who's top 3 in the league already, 5 straight all NBA first team selections which not even jokic has done , 3rd all time in career average regular season ppg at 29. 2nd all time in playoff career average ppg at 31 only behind Jordan and is someone who could sleep walk out there and drop 30 / 8 / 8 like its nothing every night and go for 40 -50 and even higher when he's really in the zone. Lakers got a decade + to win championships with him and will likely win multiple.
For AD. I feel for him man he's a superstar he's top 10 and should have been DPOY multiple times now. He's an amazing defender and the only big ik that could guard every position including being able to shut down curry on the perimeter. Bc this trade involves mavs trading there 25 year old franchise superstar which they shouldn't have done but bc they did that and AD comes back into this he's gonna see disrespect towards him that he shouldn't. He's great. I think rn it's a loss short term bc fans won't welcome him with open arms like teams do when they get new players and it's not his fault. Hopefully overtime mavs fans will support him and I think the way it's a win for him is long term. As good as AD is he wasn't good enough to be a consistent every night 1A type player that's gonna go out and dominate offensively and take over every night. That just hasn't been him. He's capable of taking over games and having games where he looks like the best player on the court but it's not a consistent every game thing. I think the way he wins is now he will havs a younger Kyrie and some other guys around him that he can share those responsibilities now moving forward. Once Lebron retired with Lakers especially considering AD would probably be 33 or 34 by that point it just wouldn't have made sense building around him and he wouldn't have succeeded most likely. AD is gonna be 32 in March and Kyrie will be 33 soon. But you think maybe tney got 4-5 high level years. Plus AD gets to be the 4 something he's wanted.
Lakers didn't necessarily win the trade that's speculation. You're just repeating the media narrative. Luka won't last till 35. His play will drop off significantly cause he doesn't care of his body. He's basically like Shaq. Comes to next season overweight and tries to play his way in shape

Im a Laker fan myself and Ill admit Dallas made out solid with this trade. You got AD who when healthy and locked in is unstoppable both sides of the ball, Max Christie a young wing who is a very good and athletic wing and can shoot and put it on the floor and a future 1st that can be used as trade bait or keep. Now yea they have 3 aging starts in Kyrie, AD and Klay but the supporting cast will allow JKidd to run a real and cohesive offense compared to ball watching Luka and Kyrie. PJ Washington been hoopin since Luka been out and now have a solid group of 5's and 4's.

I think the GM lifespan makes sense here for Neco. If you think you have 5 years in the position, you take some gambles. It's the owner that provides the continuity and if the owner is on board, it's a go. Maybe you hit maybe you don't. Everyone misses every year except one team.

People are missing the fact that once the play offs roll around, Lukas offense goes up while AD becomes super inconsistent on offense. Add in the fact that he usually misses more time in the season so your odds of even making the playoffs go down without someone to carry the team while he's gone. Clearly Kyrie can't do that, we've seen how bad the Mavs became after Luka went out. 🤷🏾♂️

@ You obviously don’t watch AD, He’s crazy efficient when he’s healthy and engaged, A lot of points come from getting to line, Mid and Close range floaters/jumpers. The problem with him is the health. Hes been good with that the last season in a half, I give him props, But he’s getting older and his track record never fails. Again I love AD, I hope he’s healthy and wins another one there with Max(This hurt), But he gets hurt at the wrong time. Kyrie is the same way.
