I wish this video showed closeups of the cuts to see the quality of cut. Also I wish it showed at least one cut that was not so hasty and random; in other words, show a controlled cut to see if a reasonably straight line can be cut and how big are the burrs.
Im having heck with the one i bought,, seems like the bottom blade is set to high from the base and metal seems to be binding up there and not to good cutting crossway on metal panels 26 gauge.. any suggestions? I think for 35 bucks ....hmm I'm gonna refit that guard attachment,, there's no reason for that tool to be so hard to manipulate on long cuts,, didn't even get 3 feet on a 12 foot piece of metal panel,26 gauged before i had to wind up yanking the tool out and using a 4 1/2 inch cutoff wheel to finish the cut. I'm gonna grind the top plate down as far as I dare too and shrink the width if I can to see if that will help. The bottom bolt and the adjustment screws need to be inset or countersunk into the metal parts to keep from snagging and the pitch is way to high to be lifting the tin out of the way to keep cutting . any other ideas?
I will have to look ive had no problems so far with mine. Essentially they are all pretty much the same only these are probably low quality control ones lol. Ill make another video looking at mine and pop up another video. So far mine cuts great. But i also have many 4.5” grinders at hand
Its ill made .. its goo for small cuts and definitely not any good for going over edges like metal roofing panels and you cant get right up to the edge if there's a 45 or more angle on the left side.. it wont let you do it. you will loose a half inch just trying to fight the tool.. i suggest get some regular strait tin snips or use a 4 1/2 inch grinder with some cutoff wheels 40 grit or 60 ..
No scrap? No chips? Are the edges sharp? Does it bend the metal?
@@stargazer2042 ill make another video because i like these questions… stay tuned
Will it cut corrugated tin?
