- easy fun sailing in light winds with a Dehler 30 OD, one of the many nice boats of Michalis/FastSailing.gr
Our trip started in Greece/Lavrion, then Kea, again Lavrion, then Kythnos, then again Kea, then Euboea and ending in Lavrion. Enjoy :)
such a beauty
Absolutely Wöltklasse 👍🤪👍🤪👍🤪😉
God I love that boat 😋 What odd backstays however?! No pulleys??
the backstays are just for trimming, the mast is supposed to hold itself up wirhout any backstays, they did that by setting the midstays further back.
@@zwiebelbo Tx. Even when they're just for trimming, still weird there are no pulleys? Mainly you've got monotron or dyneema for the stay itself and, via a pulley, a bigger line for the block and your hands, no?
You can lead the backstays to the winches if required.
How did you like the Dehler 30?? Was it suitable for cruising or is it missing too much (like shower?) compared to something like a Pogo?
Hi Panos, comfort is kept to a minimum, there is a toilet but we never used it to keep the boat odor free. Showering with a sea water friendly shower gel in the sea. Cooking on a flame, so only simple food. For this, the boat compensates with trim options like on a racing boat, just gorgeous. When it comes to pure sailing for two, there is hardly a better boat.
@@hanneslindner1636 Thank you very much for your answer and reply. That was my idea also I have only seen it on the dock and like it a lot but only living on the boat for some days exposes its real character. I wish you many happy sails and surfs for 2022 :-)
If you observe 90% of the use of sailboats, people shouldn't spend so much on toilets, showers, kitchens snd huge berths...Most don't leave their harbor for more than a week. That's a lot of fun you miss on short weekends.
