Yoon, of WINNER, had composed Yedam's solo Wayo, so Born to Love You was a sort of gifting back. Yoon's version is very lovely and emotional.

I really~ like Treasure. They are the group that lured me back into Kpop after about 10 years away (I used to be a Big Bang VIP back in the day). Soon after, I discovered Seventeen, and ended up ult-ing Seventeen, but I have a massive soft spot for Treasure, love them lots, and I live for the interactions between the groups. (A lot of Treasure are also Carats and they reference Going Seventeen a lot, and have done dance challenges with each other). I was so sad when Yedam and Mashiho left. But Yedam recently re-debuted as a solo artist! He's promoting his solo stuff now~

I think you should watch the treasure web drama (mysterious class). It will help you recognize their face quickly and it's a very interesting mystery drama I'm sure you will enjoy it you don't have to take it as a treasure content but maybe as a new show suggestion?

Treasure boys are full of talents, they can produce their own songs and their music are all good, they dont lipsync and always performs live. Haters are just bunch of jealous people who dont have anything to do in life and are just threatened with TREASURE's potential to be big, so dont mind them. I can tell Yoshi is your potential bias, he is such a sweetheart, a mandu. I love his self composed song STUPID a lot, give it a listen. And he also partivipated in most of their songs and cowrote BEUATIFUL a japanese song.

I'm not really sure about all the reason for them getting hate but definitely one of the reasons is after their survival show YG entertainment got involved in series of scandal, even the Ceo got in gambling scandal so during that time people boycott yg artist, thats why it takes 18months long for their debut because of all the backlash from the scandals as well yg artist were seen in a bad light just because if the company scandals. Other reasons would be because of fanwar that's very ridiculous. Anyways, if you can take a little time getting to know treasure you would easily see how genuine they are to each other and to those people who truly support them. They always get praises from people and staff that they work with in and outside their company. That's why I believe in that I have seen from them and the testimony of the people they work with rather than the people that throws hate but hide on their anonymous account. The world is hard enough so let's not make it much more harder to live. 🥺

I think you've reacted to all the essentials so far, although I will just put in a recommendation here of possible reactions to the concert videos they are releasing these days, and in your own time I'd recommend the Kyocera Dome live album, not only to appreciate their amazing live abilities but the setlist is a great mix of their big songs as well as some gems that aren't well-known. Their concerts are some of the best out there and the way they change-up their songs, at least for me, helps them to surpass the studio versions.
Even with all the vile hate the band and the fans get, the thing I love about Treasure fans is the focus on in-person, face-to-face engagement with the band. It's why when you look online there isn't a very big Treasure community, but their concerts are huge with a very active and passionate audience. It can bring tears to your eyes sometimes.
I'm so glad you don't let the negativity bother you, they are teasing comebacks constantly during their current tour, there seems to be something up with T5, Hyunsuk is teasing a new song, and YG just announced a new album release for summer, so you chose the right time to get introduced to them!

The part where you asked about that Haruto “lead actor” clip smiling to Junkyu was actually a Treasure Map episode and it’s a web drama about bromance 🤣 It’s not romantic enough to be a BL I think but it’s definitely cheesy haha. It’s a 1 episode webdrama and the next episode is a behind the scenes/treasure reacting to it.
Another webdrama they have is Mysterious Class and it’s a mystery/horror/thriller(?) if you wanna check it out, it’s on yt anyways ☺️
So, to understand a little bit more maybe it will be a good idea to watch treasure box, and it gives you the opportunity to get to know them more. But warning ⚠️ it's kind of hard to watch. Anyway, the first wave of hate was because when the formation of the group was being made, there where other contestens that had longer time and where older and that weren't selected. After that, them trying to debut in the middle of a complicated moment for Yg, taking longer then it was expected to debut because of Yg issues, being a part of Yg and debuting in the middle of a pandemic made it challenging for the members on getting a fan base. So the hate whent to the members. Nowadays it is just the typical hate; too fat, too slim, not too handsome, "my bias is better", type of crap... So yeah they had it rough at the begining.But they are all just sweet, dorky, chaotic kids that love and are good at what they do. So welcome to teumeland, we love all 12 members but understand that treasure is a 10 member group. Yedam has already debuted in solo with another company, and Mashi shows a glimpse of himself on Instagram. Sorry for the long text by the way.
So I’m guessing the comments already answered your comments about the songs that you heard on Yedam’s intro. Both songs have been officially released and have MVs. “WAYO” was Yedam’s solo debut and the song was composed by his YG senior artist Kang Seung Yoon aka Yoon from the group WINNER. He’s WINNER’s leader/main composer/main vocalist/maknae. The lyrics were also co-written by YOON and another YG senior artist, AKMU’s Lee Chanhyuk. These two were are the big brothers to Yedam/TREASURE since Day 1. WAYO was originally a more upbeat/trop house song for WINNER or possibly for Yoon’s solo. However, YG ceo and producers felt that maybe it would fit another YG artist better. The funny thing was that Yedam actually was chosen to sing the demo and the song was passed down from different YG artists for some time. Eventually finding its way back to Yedam and they rearranged the song to a more slow ballad very reminiscent of Justin Bieber, which suited Yedam very well.
In return, Yedam also did something similar as Yoon did with “Born To Love You”. It could have been a group song for TREASURE or his own solo. However, maybe another YG artists can bring a different twist/uniqueness to it. The song found its way to YOON and Yedam was happy that Yoon loved the song. Yedam said that Yoon gave the song justice and his voice was perfect for the song. Yedam and Yoon have different vocal tones. Yoon has a natural husky baritone voice, but has such a wide vocal range where he can hit those high notes, falsettos, belt, run, and adlibs flawlessly. Yedam has a tenor voice, but like Yoon have such a wide vocal range.. he has a beautiful high register, but his lower register is just as pretty too. Both skillful vocalist and as you saw there’s a duet video of them singing “Born To Love You”. I was hoping for them to also sing “WAYO” together, but it has not happen yet. I’m also hoping when Yoon comes back from the military that he can collaborate on a song again. Their voices together is so powerful and gorgeous.

you might find it funny but being under the same company with BP is apparently ignites something bad for a certain people. One of them were like saying "Treasure FLOP" and "treasure spending BP Money" it's so annoying. I just can't relate.
