Their drummer Mario is one of the best and their live sets are incredible!! Check out Gojira - The Heaviest Matter of The Universe (Live at Vieilles Charrues Festival 2010)
Stranded is really an intro for people who aren't metalheads. It's hard but it's not Lizard Skin, The Forest or Heaviest Matter in the Universe or Backbone or the Art of Dying. Yes! A Sad But True kinda way for sure. It's a fantastic album (Magma). You need to see Gift of Guilt live at the Brixton Academy. Mario Duplantier on drums is like Animal from the Muppet Show. It's visual and impactful. Blew my mind, that's for sure.
Insanely good band one of my favorites Gojira listen to art of dying , toxic garbage island , the cell , remembrance, silvera, flying whales is a must , wolf down the earth and etc
They've been at it for more than 20 years, heavier stuff earlier on. I recommend the live version of Remembrance on the album The Link Alive. It's atonishing, you'll be hooked after watching it.
Definitely one of their more 'softer' songs. Or mainstream. Try Clone live at Garorock or Remembrance The Link Alive for heavyness. Gojira is a liveband, check out those live performances. Next level.
Crazy to think this is one of their slower songs. If you want full flavor, "From the Sky" and "Space Time" are a great mix demonstrating what they are capable of both new and old. Also Mario (drummer, and brother of the vocalist) won "Best Metal Drummer 2023" and the songs I suggested will be a stark reminder of why 😅 his solos he releases yesrly are mind melting. Look up "Mario Duplantier drum solo" and thank me later!
As others have said before me, this is a radio friendly song Gojira vise. You have already gotten some good suggestions. I would like to add The Art of Dying (studio version) and The Gift of Guilt (live at Brixton Academy) to the list. The Art of Dying is probably one of my favorites by them. Please continue down the Gojira rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed. 🤘
Please react to Tommy Johansson's cover of She's Gone. Up until recently he was a guitarist for Sabaton and fronts his own band Majestica. He does covers, in his own way, playing all the instruments and singing all the parts. He is an amazing, talented, all around great guy. He did a KISS cover of God Gave Rock and Roll to You as a tribute/thank you to Sabaton.
so many better songs, stranded is boring af, i dont understand why people only ask for this crap. listen to literally ANY song from their live at red rocks and it will be 100x better
when you know it's their more radio friendly song , try the heaviest matter in the universe ..night and day :)

Reaction would be awesome to both of them? How about a double reaction ;)
They may be the tightest band live, so accurate.
