Thanks for the video, you just save me a massive amount of time. You know, it would be better if you used a keyboard capture, because sometimes I forget how to do some kind of the or just dont understand what buttons you pressed when you did something with audio track, but anyways thanks!!!
I've been using Live since version 9 and finally purchased when 11 launched. Thanks for putting this tutorial on YT for free my brotha - I learned some new workflow concepts.
wow! such a great find. I have done the built in tutorial and watched other videos but this is pure gold. You have answered so many questions in the first hour for me!!
Very thankful for this video. But I wouldn't call it a tutorial or master class. This video is a demonstration of all the capabilities of Ableton. Great job.🎉
Played guitar all my life...(I'm over 70)...I'll continue playing...I watched this for about 5 minutes...as a non-technical person...this is WAY beyond my comprehension...where is an 8 year old when you need one?
You are a hero. So clear, so precise, insane. I'm taking my sweet time with this and taking notes and practicing along the way, game changer. Thank you a thousand times!
Huge props to you putting this out to educate us all! Always good to be reminded of some shortcuts or some tools that we may not be using in our everyday productions. I feel like everyone could benefit from this!
Hello sir ! Ableton Live is an old friend of mine but you show me some very interesting workflow with your fresh eyes ! And i have to say that your speed to operate it is so impressive. i wish the best for u from France
When I saw the thumbnail I thought for sure this was an advertisement for a class on Udemy or something. You're amazing for putting this on TH-cam, I hope life rewards you for it.
Dude this is awesome, Both me and my 11yr old are trying to learn this. I'm able to do minimum basics, but right now im mixing an album and this is a HUGE HELP for both of us. SUBBED
Tbh you nailed this I follow oversampled since 2018, and i am so proud of you Because of ur insta stories i can say, that you grow up not only as a musician, but as human also Hope u gonna reach everything u deserve Thank you❤
Thank you so much for the MPE part, FL studio user from early 2000's, i was searching for note glide in ableton live's piano roll... Really useful video !
Just started on some self taught musical production and you youtube channel is a gem! Thank you so much, when you have no idea how to do what you want, these types of videos are super helpful
I’ve been watching lots of Ableton videos - this one just popped up on my recommended feed, but I recognised your name from Simply Always Awake live Q&As 😉 Thanks for the helpful video and maybe see you on another live.
I am using Ableton live 11 now but i am facing one problem. I loaded my plugins. So basically if i open Analog lav v And pigments when i play the notes it gives me a Click and the volume remains Full expanding the red color. One click and no sound at all. Do you guys know how to fix it? I am new to ableton if it is for audio driver or any other issues i don't know. Serum is working fine but these two aren't working.
Hello Mr Oversampled, thanks for the tutorial. Regarding 3:31:45, I have done the same thing as you but with different random audio samples, I do not understand why legato option is not available for all sounds. Sometimes it is, sometimes not (just grey, cannot activate it). Also, the "follow action" on the main bus does nothing on my side, I always have to click on the play button of any clip to have the random playback of all clips. Thanks again for all what you do.
I slept to this on repeat lol. Maybe I'll get it all by osmosis if I just listen over and over again. There's just so much. Ableton is pretty intuitive. Like a super Fruity Loops. I'm familiar with Pro Tools and Nuendo. Those are actually different programs. DAW has more nuance to it than it seems on the surface. I wouldn't sequence anything in Pro Tools or Nuendo. Those tools are better for SFX and video matching (within my usecases, I know there is so much more they can do). Ableton, however is really fun to use to create sounds and sequence music or emotional audio landscapes. I also very highly suspect Mike Morasky used Ableton to create the OST for Portal and Portal 2. The libraries found within sound almost if not exactly like it. Maybe I'm crazy. What I mean by super-fruityloops: Automation in AL is more like animating in Maya. Nice big curves to manipulate. Really easy to do and see what you are doing. Notice flaws and errors. This is why animating in Maya is so good.
1:58:17 and the issue is still there. Don’t know what ableton developers smoking but this behavior is unacceptable in 2024. No one should use a daw with such a basic issue… 🤦 PS I know what is PDC and how it works. Well, it works like shit in live . In bitwig they managed to implement it right (until they broke it couple of versions back and still deny it is broken - different story…). And I do understand that live based on older code and it will require to recode almost all the foundation to get rid of this issue. Then fking recode it ableton!! It is absolutely unacceptable for a program in 2024 have fundamental issues with PDC on computers powerful like ones we have today! Unacceptable!
Slow down bro! Great info, but beginners will have trouble following, since it’s presented so quickly. People familiar with Live will fair better, but I get dizzy watching this with all of the quick actions you’re doing. It’s just too fast to absorb. But the info in this video is insane. 🤓👍
51:24 control + alt shift not working for me. I have a mac which is cmd + shift. I want this feature so bad moving the sample within the audio track and creating new glitchy sounds. tried everything can anyone help?
Just make how to make professional future bass or any dubstep track from start to finish with mix and master. I've seen your old tutorials on that but those kind of style really old.
ctrl + alt + bullshit had me wheezing still man nice tutorial while I am more of an intermediate user so I knew a lot of things already but I still found alot of hacks and shortcuts you taught very useful
i bought the scarlet because i wanted t try to get away from the tascam portastudio's but it seems this stuff isn't needed as much for writing music and more for people that are using synthesizers and editing.i get so confused and i almost think i wasted almost 600 bucks on an interface
If anyone dosent get the look from the oversampled theam make sure to try these setting values 3:34:36 as shown on the screen in for adjusting the theam 😅hope it helps 😅
anytime anyone asks me anything about ableton ill let them know about this video, if i ever have any question about ableton i will watch this video. this is absolutely insane, the work you re putting in to help the community is just amazing. thank you for everything
This video is not for beginners though... The way he explains things assumes that the viewers have previous experience with DAWs other than LIVE and understand concepts like sidechaining, automation etc... I'm only at the first hour but it seems a bit too fast paced & the terminology is definitely for people who understand music production which kind of defeats the purpose, but it is still very useful for people who already have some knowledge about LIVE but want to expand on it...
@@redpillbulgaria-v2.063Yes you're correct! I'm switching from FL and this tutorial has been most helpful because of the same reason that it's rather fast paced than the other ones out there that cater to people who are starting out with music production. If I was a beginner, it would have been way tougher going through this because of the reasons you pointed out already.

Bookmarked for Ableton 12
It is crazy that you put this out for free. This is amazing.
He’s technically earning money from the views which is well deserved
I have a feeling the course deserves more money than the revenue youtube gives @@WhizPill
Only Oversampled will make a 4H+ video completely for free. This is why he is the best!!
Holy cow we don’t deserve this
Maybe you don’t 😂
I agree!... that you're not worthy.
Now go to pawn shop and get a cassette deck. Even that's out of your league.
