  • This course is for anyone who wants to learn basic’s of OData. In this course you will learn the following things
Concept of Client and Server architecture
What is a request and response?
Then we look at if there is any standard way or framework to structure our client server applications interactions which is where OData come’s into picture.
Once we have understood OData protocol basics then we move towards understanding REST architecture
Now we have 36000 Ft view of OData it make sense to start understanding its different component in detail. So we start by first understanding OData building blocks such as Entities, Entitysets, Service Root and a resource. We also look in detail at what is metadata and in parallel compare it with SQL also. This kind of comparison help in easy understanding.
Once we have understood the core building block’s of OData we start drilling into different operations which we normally do which are Create, Read, Update and Delete.
We take look at how can we read data. Along with reading the data what different filter options exist and how do we use them. Once we are comfortable in fetching the data the next obvious step was to understand about how do send a request for creation of record, deletion of a record and updating of records.

Thank you for the awesome content, sir, It's really helping and making our life easier.
Could you also show us one example of header and item relationship in OData V4, because in Odata V2 sap has given the extended_entity_set, but for Odata V4 I could not find the way to transfer the data to the frontend with the header and item.
Could you please help regarding this :)
    Thank you :)
