Actually, my new sugar free soft drink of choice is Zevia. I don't normally like stevia (has a weird taste to me), but am enjoying the flavors of the soft drinks made with it, so I guess that's good? Anyway, had a cherry cola one today. No sugar, but does have caffeine. Yay!
So Danica 💜💛 you are beautiful and I have had symptoms of T1D sense age 7. Never got diagnosed or treated. What happens next?? I also have a long long history of medical needs.

I just found your channel and am totally enjoying it! I'm also a T1 diabetic addicted to diet soda, but Diet Dr Pepper is my favorite! It makes me feel better to know that I'm not the only one that gets bouncing blood sugars, but you seem to take it in stride much better than I do. Anyways, thanks for the good content!

Yeah, diet coke ftw until I realised how much caffeine I was having per day (coffee, tea, diet coke)! Pro tip: don't go cold turkey. Not good. :P Thanks for your videos, they're really helpful - nice to see life isn't all about that flat line (even though it's awesome when that line cooperates)!

coke zero was a total game changer for me!!!! I having been drinking diet coke basically since I was in high school----then I had my first coke zero as an adult and BAM< I drink way too many a day!! it's a serious addiction!
No more diet sodas makes me get UTI sweeteners are bad. So know I use Stevia with REB-A in unsweetened tea for the caffeine. So I don't get UTI. I try not to eat processed foods. Orange juice, apple juice sugar and honey.
Never liked diet anything in the past, but got sick of water and coffee, so tried a diet coke, and pepsi. Not bad. Then I tried a diet A&W root beer, and Canada Dry ginger ale, and I'm HOOKED!!! lol
mmmmm diet root beer is good but tricky to find just anywhere!

When I was at college I put my 25 cents in the diet coke machine and drank down half the bottle and thought this Diet Coke taste funny. Turns out it was a regular Coke! Not good for a diabetic but tested an hour later and BG was going down.

I was taught to do that because fiber just passes through your body and is not processed as carbs in your body so you don't need insulin for them. :)

T2, with first diaversary coming up on May 3rd...My doc told me to stay away from the diet soft drinks in general, which I mostly do, but if I feel like having some once in awhile, I'll usually pick up some Sprite zero. I drink a lot (and I mean a **LOT**) of unsweetened tea, specifically the Pure Leaf unsweetened tea with lemon flavor.

Who else that is diabetic hates regular soda/pop because I'm type 1 diabetic and I don't like regular soda/pop. And I'm getting a new pump soon I have a one touch ping animas pink pump. I've had it for like 4 years and I want to get a t slim . Also I had. Y endo appointment today and let's just say my a1c...... 9. I used to always have a 7. A1c level. Also I can't believe u don't have more subs, I've been watching your vids for a long time. :)
I know you've probably answered this a thousand times I just can't find it. What finger poker do you use or recommend. I have the one touch delica right now (my first one ever) just wondering if there are any that don't hurt quite as much or if this is one of the best? Would appreciate any input you may have. Thanks! Hi, thanks for answering back, aftet I wrote you I actually saw one on the "Dale Tribe" that their daughter uses and loves it, I asked what it was, they said it Happens to be the Walgreens brand and it has worked out great for me so far, I'm so glad I subscribed to you whenever this darn disease starts getting me down I either watch your channel or theirs and I always feel better,

I recently got a new meter, just like yours. What type of test stripes do you use? It looks like you put the sample right in the end of the strip, not the side??
The OneTouch Verio IQ Test strips. The blood went on the side, must've been an illusion :)

I'm a T1D who can't stand Coke! it's bad for you! :-) in all ways! I stick to water and keep my A1c at 5.2mmols thank you Dexcom G6 ! I can see why you are always high with the wrong foods :-)
