its the same exact character, as you know from the show and books is that there are 40 different timelines and well the book is a different one of them which is really cool cause it gives an excuse to make the show different from the books. like in the first book the you go to the animal bar the first time going to Fillory whereas in the show they go in the end of s3.

I like how they discover their original personas/bodies or whatever in the first few episodes. I got the impression that the whole season was going to be them finding themselves but I was pleasantly surprised!

I can't believe she spoiled face melting. Next season is now literally unwatchable.
She mentioned a concept called face melting, then described it as the period during which they realize they get their true identities back. Unless you have some additional knowledge via the novels or something, I personally don't see much that was spoiled (not that I'd like you to enlighten me). It's already obvious via the trailer/sneak peak that they do get their identities back this season.
