It’s encouraging for Heads of State to be gathered together to discuss common issues. I think citizens should ask for them to be closed in one room and only be allowed to come out after proclamation of new systems and setups of the issues they are talking about.

As an American one thing that worries me is folks being allowed to rent unlimited numbers of apartments and use those apartments not for living in for themselves and their families, but as a lodging business.
For example when I'm in Nairobi there is a woman I rent from, she and her boss rent four apartments in the same building, and they rent those apartments out as lodging. If you get too many people doing that, and if there is not high-rise housing being built to offset that, eventually there is going to be a shortage of housing, and that lead to a homeless epidemic just like we have in America where there are people sleeping in tents on sidewalks for long distances.
I like that landlords in Kenya mind their own damn business unlike landlords in America, that's how it should be everywhere! As long as a landlord is getting their damn rent money every month on time, if you have someone living with you, have pets, or whatever is none of their damn business! They should NOT have dictatorial authority over tenants like they do in America the damn parasites!
However, If I was a member of parliament in Kenya, seeing this pattern of people renting many apartments to use as a lodging business, I would be worried about that, and I would sponsor legislation to curb that.

There was a lot of optimism in the beginning. There's no one more patient than a Kenyan citizen. The things they've endured from their leaders, would have caused revolutions in the west. But billions worth of corruption scandals later, people got fed up. Billions being stolen and shipped out.The culprits are not arrested, some are even promoted. More Debt on top of more debt at the highest interest rate ever. Then more punitive taxes in quick succession. They're at breaking point. African leaders will not get respect for nothing. It is earned through integrity, accountability and most importantly, through tangible results.

Thank you very much, H E Mr. President Paul Kagame. It is very general, a vision of steps to be taken. What is always important are the actors and, above all, those who take responsibility for ensuring that the goals are clearly achieved, goals with all the intermediate steps. This requires authentic advisors who speak the truth clearly and unambiguously in the interests of the project and propose efficient solutions. No one needs yes-men - in responsible positions - in such projects. In other words, the second tier has to act responsibly.
You have already built an architecture for this in your country, the problem is always the people - especially in the second line - because most of them are not as straightforward as you are. However, I am very grateful for what you have achieved and for what you are doing. It was and is something great for Rwanda.

This talking point of how Africa will have the only rising middle class (in decades," as sad as that is"), and how international money lending institutions need reform, have been uttered before by Ruto a few times. It's depressing if you're an African and you have to wait decades to reach middle income status. Keep in mind climate disaster will only get worse into the future not better, hanging onto Kagame or Ruto's words should be of comfort to no one. Make sure your governments are reinforcing infrastructure to survive more climate disaster if your nations are to even have a future.

All countries need to do their utmost to improve internal infrastructure, emergency preparedness, flood zones, sewage, electrical/solar power, etc,. Talking and planning is a good start But, we have people suffering greatly by losing everything with just a few days of rain causing erosion. We all need to do better globally, but most especially in Asia and Africa they need to stand on their own two feet and prepare internally, in all aspects.
