WAIT... Vinnie is back with the rest of the crowd like five seconds after running off to find his girlfriend... Holy shit he really IS good at puzzles!
Struwwelpeter cuts off a kid's thumps. Cinderella's stepsisters are the ones who cut of their toes in the original story. Gotta love our fairytales in Europe
The only thing Krampus does is dress up as a demon and beat the shit out of you with a cut off horses tail. I live in the austrian alps and we celebrate this every year.
Paul Hettegger okay dann erklär mal bitte.
In college, my dorm had an annual "Secret Satan" that was kinda like this. The last year I was there, I got my person a card of her ex boyfriend singing "their song" when they were together with old pictures of them all over the card. She cried. Said it was her best secret Satan ever.
yea the original guy was st nikolaus and he comes every year in holland on decembre 5th to celebrate sinterklaas. and we also have chrismas and my birthday that month. so decembre is for me the best month EVER
Could be worse. One of the Kovert Krampus things could have been based off of that one episode of South Park. You know, the one where Cartman makes this kid eat his own parents. And that's fluff at best. Sick, yes, insane, yes, scary as shit, not so much.
I admire your grammar. At age fourteen I didn't type at all like that. Good stuff man. : ) I just felt like letting you know for some odd reason, I guess I appreciate good grammar and people who are educated.
In 1821, the book A New-year's present, to the little ones from five to twelve was published in New York. It contained Old Santeclaus, an anonymous poem describing an old man on a reindeer sleigh, bringing presents to children. didnt I tell you to look it up
I honestly expected that they just masterfully pulled this out of their asses to make a funny video, but no, they weren't lying. I looked it up, and it's actually a thing. There goes whatever hope I had left for Germany. Good on you College Humor for going the extra mile with this one
Krampus, contrast with Saint nicholas, is actually tradition in Germany, Austrian, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia, although it's originally german custom
They all probably didn't copy anything, seeing as this idea is so base it is bound to come up more than once in different series, especially during Christmas.
Krampus wasn't mentioned before the end 16th century, how old do you think is Austria? And by the way, Krampus isn't even a thing in Germany, only the Bavarians know him. People in Tyrol and lower Bavaria were the first to mention him. So quit your bullshit.
@@alfgrebs6172 Yes that's what I said. I said Karmpus is much younger than Austria. And I know Tyrol is in Austria. I know the 9 regions of my own country, thank you.
That was because the Evergreen tree was one of little few trees that still lived during the harsh conditions of the German winter. And because of that, it was also deemed a fertility symbol because of its adaptiveness in the cold. Sort of like keeping an erection up for a series of hours by using ice (medically speaking).
For those of you that think this is actually how the tradition works, it's not. lol. Krampus (pronounced CRAHM-poose) goes along with saint niklaus and, if the children were good, they got gifts on St. Niklaus Tag (5th of december), and if they were bad, Krampus was said to come and kidnap them. It's not really any different than saying saint nick is going to bring you coal when you're bad, it's just a different way of putting it. no one actually gets coal, and no one actually gets kidnapped!
@meisterkail Krampus does not accompany sankt nikolaus (german) as nikolaus is accompanied by ruprecht (roughly translating to rupert) who punishes children for him on december 6th / saint nicholas' day
Well the Germans are also the ones who came up with decorating the Christmas tree, many Christmas carols like 'Silent Night' or 'O Tannenbaum' (also a German word), the nutcracker, the gingerbread house, or the Advent calendar. So the Christmas you all know would be nothing wihtout 'em. Merry Christmas!

Holy shit he really IS good at puzzles!
+Jason Kelly Or really bad
Or he really doesn't care about his girlfriend
Or he has a twin
Or his girlfriend is the new Houdini!

Anu was the most underrated member of Collegehumor. She should have been in more sketches.
+JoHack No, Dan.
Adam is pretty great though.
+Ninja Gaming nah, he ruins everything.
I know, I'm the best at jokes, no need to thank me.

I love how Vinny quickly goes from being happy and cheerful to panicking!
they re-purposed the evil chair....
"Lemme see them toes!" "WHAAAAAAA!!!' bahahahaha that was the best.
Cutting off the toes with scissors? Reminds me of another adorable German folk character, Stuwwelpeter! Gotta love Europes dark children's stories
Struwwelpeter cuts off a kid's thumps. Cinderella's stepsisters are the ones who cut of their toes in the original story. Gotta love our fairytales in Europe

why would anyone celebrate that?
i dont like it either but a lot of people think its fun

The Indian girl is so cute, oh my gosh.
2:41 could’ve easily been corny but goddammit Dan’s delivery is always brilliant

*silence*
-you forgot me? i feel so left out!, best give ever
Alright, who's got me?
*Snips air with pair of hedge trimmers.*
Lemme see them toes!
Covert Krampus seems so much easier than Secret Santa.
You just have to hope for your worst enemy, so you can really go all out.
honestly you guys are fkn amazing i don't know how you come up with this stuff
Hahaha! The vuvuzela, definitely South Africa's way of punishing the world. XD
That constant B-flat-below-middle-C makes the vuvuzela so magical.
Man, that was funny. Even The Krampus would be like "Dude, that's a little extreme."
Doubtful.
Emily talk so cutely :3
best video in a while
favorite ch video to date... krampus is a massive part ofthe holiday festivities in my social circle.
the title should be
Hardly Working: Kovert Krampus
I'm pretty sure he doesn't appear in "hardly working"
Well it's nice to see that the subscribers to this channel are realy nice people.
2:32 Vinnie just completely gave up on finding his girlfriend.
It took me so long to find this again.
KRAMPUSNAUGHT IS IN NOVEMBER

The krampus pictures aren't giving me any sleep tonight
yea the original guy was st nikolaus and he comes every year in holland on decembre 5th to celebrate sinterklaas. and we also have chrismas and my birthday that month. so decembre is for me the best month EVER
Only CollageHumor can come up with this stuff.
That's why I love CollageHumor...
my family celebrates his way every year!
Actually brilliant idea.
Keep it up, CH! :D
1:01 Dan is my spirit animal
the Germans krampus switches children and stuff
Swedish krampus is the crazy badass

Best Christmas EVER.
Dude I NEVER copy and paste peoples youtube suggestions. But I broke that rule in your case. I was NOT disappointed! You Austrians are crazy!
These days it's only about 1 in 10 CollegeHumor that I find funny. This one was true to form.
OMG The ending!!! Im dying XDD
I love this one! I watched it over 10x lol. MORE!!!!

I do this to my family every year i love
Jeff is back!
I come from Austria and that is where krampus actually comes from. Love the video
Classic CH, love it :)
obviously you weren't content with keeping that thought inside your mind, therefore you must be expecting some sort of reciprocation.
this is one of the best christmas games ever
Why were jake and Amir not in the cast for hardly working anymore?
I think they left the Hardly Working cast when they stopped working at CollegeHumor fulltime. After that, the focus was just on Jake and Amir
best Kovert Krampus ever thanks guys
Krampus, contrast with Saint nicholas, is actually tradition in Germany, Austrian, Hungary, Slovenia and Croatia, although it's originally german custom
you just named the things i can live without...
I don't know. That's for you to decide.
I'm a proud member of the Kovert Krampus Klub!
I would genuinely enjoy planning the gifts and hearing what other people would get me
Maybe I’m just weird though
This reminds me of that one episode of the "The Office"
I'm a moron for holding my sidearms in a picture? I'm sure that your picture must make you an absolute genius.
The funny thing is this mythological creature is actually a part of olden Christmas folklore that was once long forgotten.
Krampus is real. I've lived through the legend.
Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. had a episode about the Krampus. it was pretty awesome.
*2010 world cup stadium and if you're in rio multiply it by 130,000
They all probably didn't copy anything, seeing as this idea is so base it is bound to come up more than once in different series, especially during Christmas.
In fairness to Germany, they're not the only ones to feature Krampus in their Christmas celebrations.
I got my mom a Merry Krampus shirt for Christmas Hahaha Best part is, she loves it!
The joke is they're doing the opposite of what you would expect for Christmas.
The Nutcracker may be a Russian ballet, but an the actual nutcracker (the figure the play is based on) was developed in Germany
Actually, Krampus is from Austria.
Nonsense, Austria hadn't even been colonized when Krampus was invented.
Oh come on, you are just eastern Germans.
Krampus wasn't mentioned before the end 16th century, how old do you think is Austria?

yea that part is actually true. Santa is dressed in mostly red and Coke's primary color is red.
That, no one can deny
im so happy ch too our advice and started making more povs there is a new one comming out pov bathroom
you dont tell someone who got you the gift in secret santa
@meisterkail Krampus does not accompany sankt nikolaus (german) as nikolaus is accompanied by ruprecht (roughly translating to rupert) who punishes children for him on december 6th / saint nicholas' day
+ the decorations for christmas tree started in Latvia
You are awesome.
coca cola made him no longer thought of as an elf
so true. hardly working is nothing without sarah, streeter, and even david
well i mean, thats what comments on youtube are for. to express thoughts that were in our head while watching the video.

Or the office episode where Dwight is Krampus. You can't call them copy cats for all drawing on a commonly known, centuries old tradition.
In the final season of The League they also talk about Krampus and Vuvuzelas.
Ah the holidays *Sips Hot coco* Wait why does this taste like arsenic? KRAMPUS YOU FUCKER!!!
The ad before this was titled Krampus Song
Thank you&Happy New Year 2013

The Nutcracker is the nickname I gave to my pair of steel-toed army boots.
thanks! but that's only the show you see in the vid. afterwards they pull the fence away. when you're lucky you get like 6 bruises.
I read the title as "korean krampus" lol
Whatever Dan is doing? He’s doing his own thing!
Did we just go there?
ur right hes not an invention of coca cola. its just the color scheme of his clothes that they mightve changed
It was put up in Latvia, Riga @CSFan11
