劇情有d 牽強
1:08，「Prepare some questions in English.」
1:11，「My English is not good enough for a live interview with a foreigner...」
2:09，「That girl's English is so fluent.」
出英文字幕，其實等於處喺英文語境，竟然仲係中文直譯，話「英文唔好」，咁係唔啱英文語境。試下咁樣改？
「Prepare some questions with key points.」
「My knowledge of UK politics is not good enough for a live interview with UK officials...」
「That girl can communite fluently with foreign officials.」
係電腦AI 直譯😂
The above are simply oral English, no problem with that. The proposed changes are more elaborated, while the second one 1.11 is concerned with her English level not adequate for interview with foreigner, not about her knowledge of UK politics

Once the English captions are supplied, it can be expected that these captions should follow the understanding of English-speaking audiences, right? I want to say that, by supplying English captions, the producer should imagine the scene that those peoples are INDEED speaking English. An English-speaking person claims his English is "not good enough"? You don't feel bizarre about this?

@@ja-ch5635Apart from fluency, the length of sentence is also a factor since the caption can only appear for as long as the character spoke the relevant contents. eg. if the a line is 1 sec long, the caption should be readable within 1 sec. So while the suggestions are indeed more domesticated (which would be great for a novel), it might be too lengthy or complicated for viewers to grasp. Some companies may also forbid translators from switching subject/object positionsor other grammatical/synatx changes.
