Get the paint-job for the mustang, find a danger sign that looks like the jump from the scene, and get a *ton* of cop cars.

I realize I left a remark last year before going on a journey like this in FH4, and I'm doing this same thing now that I know how to drift. My go-to builds are an F50 with the GT engine in it, and a 570S with the Rocket Bunny bodykit.

Catch up works like this.
Start by getting a location that you will drift back and fourth. Then start the point to point race, you start driving to the other location, one person starts in front of the other and the goal is for the guy at the back to over take the guy at the front then reach the destination. If he can’t and the front man reaches the place, you turn around and chase back to the place you started but you swap roles so chaser gets chased and the chased becomes the chaser. If nobody wins, keep repeating the process till somebody wins, you swap locations or you get bored.
