I'm glad Dark Matter ended in the TBR list. First because I remember it blew my mind some years ago when I read it, and second I think it's just perfect timing since the TV show is coming up this year.

I read Assassin's Apprentice with no intention of reading the second unless I liked the 1st... and of course, reading one a month... yeah... I kind of found myself reading all 3 in the first trilogy back to back... I'm a fan now and will be for sure reading everything Elderling.

Joe Abercrombie is one of my favorite authors,a nd I love Best Served Cold! Lonesome Dove is fantastic as well! ^_^
That's great to hear Danny. It seems like everyone I speak to loves Lonesome Dove. I think I'll read it and then maybe watch the movie.
I read Lonesome Dove last summer and loved it. Believe me, I am NOT a Western person either. Fell in love with the characters. Dark Matter is fun too. I wouldn't consider it hard sci-fi, but an entertaining read.
Yeah it seems like Lonesome Dove is one of those books which is universally loved. All of the comments here seem to agree it's awesome. I look forward to diving into it.
Just finished reading the expanse. Now im starting IT and then the dark tower plus some of the expanded king universe
I really liked IT. I need to start reading The Expanse this year. Everyone says how fantastic it is. There's just so many great books. Happy reading!
@@PaperbackJourneys expanse was really good. I had seen the show and was annoyed it didn't get the proper ending since they didn't adapt the last 3 books which is why i decided to read them
I read Lonesome Dove early this year and it changed me. It on first glance is the best book I've ever read because of everything it deals with and the characters are just so damn alive. Brilliant book that never ever let me down

I'll definitely read Recursion. I remember you saying that it's better than Dark Matter and I feel like we have similar tastes when it comes to books.

For May, I’ll be reading another couple of discworld books (started the TouTube channel at last) and finishing off Death’s End to finish Remembrance of Earth’s Past and Assassin’s Quest to finish the Farseer trilogy. I’m about half way through both.
After that I’m pretty undecided. I’m leaning towards The Trees by Percival Everett or The Secret History by Donna Tartt at the moment.

@@PaperbackJourneys initially I’m rereading discworld and doing a video for each book (inspired by someone else who documented their journey through a full series). Who knows after that.
