The problem is that Ghibli movies take years and years to animate juts 150 mins of footage. So regardless of which art style is better looking Shonen can’t ever be animated in such detail. I think Toriyama’s original style cool because it’s so expressive whilst being quite minimalistic.

I would honestly love to see Dragon Ball branch out and have movies done by other studios. like when Halo had a mini anime with Halo: Legends. heck, DC and Marvel have had multiple animes. I'm very curious what other studios would do with Dragon Ball.
