    My Father Mr.jambunathan from Corps of Engineer's Indian Army was part of Antarctica Expedition Team from 92-94. Since there was no digital media nobody was there to showcase him to the world.

    When we were building Maitriin 1988-90 station leader of the Soviet station said the same thing- no country can build in one season. He then taunted- must be all American imported stuff. I convinced him that structure and systems were totally Indian. Leader of then East German station Dr Rudolf Meyer said if our army is allowed to move out of Germany ( not allowed after WWII) we would have done it. I said you can't beat the Indian Army

    Thank you for your service, but i heard Dakshin Gangotri is been Inactive from many years, Now only Bharati and Maitri are fully Active with more Advanced technology.

      Dakshin Gangotri was abandoned in 1990s after Maitri became operational , with more equipment and facilities. Dakshin Gangotri now is buried in snow.
