The Story of Lupke La | Islamabad to Snowlake | Part 1

- A journey that was planned in 2019 was lived in August 2021. Back in May, I got connected with 5 other crazy heads like me and together we were able to successfully execute this expedition. Starting our journey from Islamabad, making all the arrangements ourselves (food, permit, supplies, equipment, HAPs, LAPs, admin work) we were able to reach Snowlake in 8 days.
The journey then continued towards Lupke La Pass (The Long Pass) which took another 3 days to cross. Our expedition of 6 members and 10 HAPs became the first and the only group of 2021 to cross this territory reaching an altitude of 5,700 m and an extreme temperature of -18 C
Alhamdullilah the journey was successful ! The views were breathtaking ! The terrain very challenging ! And the mountains ever so beautiful

We managed/prepped for this trek ourselves. Currently the procedure only involves getting a permit from Ministry. Everyrhing else is just your own planning
The only hurdle during the trek is weather
And yes anyone can trek to the lake as long as they have the physical fitness, stamina, and most importantly willpower

Great video and achievement . I crossed the Hispar la in 2004 and saw nothing , 7 days of whiteout and low cloud . Tried the Lukpa la in 2019 but not enough porters and too dangerous to continue .
We were guided by everyone to take Shimshali Porters as they are the experts on this terrain
@@abdulmoeedahmed5242 I trekked in the Shimshal area in 2018 , crossing 2 passes . The Shimshali porters are very impressive , essential for such hard treks .

You should consider yourself lucky bro, that its NOT a trekking site located in MURREE, otherwise those fu-king merciless people have charged you to stay overnight, even in front of closed houses.
It was indeed a very unfortunate incident and the fault lied with several stakeholders
