Actually that's not true. There were some pairs with "out of competition" members. Same is with our pair - Vladimir was out of competition, but I was a contestant.

@@MishaSkripach У Светланы все органично - и лицо, и тело. Мне еще (согласна с перечисленными Вами) очень нравится С. Лунькина (в Канаде она Лункина) - очень красивая. Видела ее на сцене - глаз не отвести, красивые линии. Разумеется, школа есть.

И здесь музыка подставлена? Ни одного музыкального акцента не осталось, ни одно движение не попадает в музыку. Я бы расстроилась и рассердилась - какая-то балетофанера получается. И главное, ладно бы музыкальность была не важна - но и Вы, и Шкляров по-настоящему музыкальны, и никогда я не видела (я Шклярова много раз видела вживую!) ни одного движения мимо музыки. А тут наоборот.

I always get a kick out of this particular competitive show. Seems the scenery and backdrops are competitors too. So busy and distracting from the dancers. Of course, those of us who watched the competition know that you, Maria, deservedly won. By the way, I hate the idea of ballet competitions. Turns art into a sport.
