The best thing about McFly is that they're not just bandmates, they have a true genuine friendship and they're not afraid of showing it, it's not a surprise they are best men of each other and Tom get so emotional while singing about them

The best thing about this is the last song. He met his wife when he was 13 at school so the kids who came out to sing were from his school wearing the uniform they were wearing when they met. And he wrote that song for her when they were 17 as a valentines present never intending to release it but it became their biggest song ever!

Actually, this songs are from the Mcfly's albuns but he changed the lyrics.
The songs are actually McFly songs, he just changed the lyrics to them.
All About You (one at the end) was actually written for Giovanna (his wife) in 10mins for Valentine’s Day in the early 00s, and it ended up becoming one of McFlys biggest songs when it was released as the official comic relief single in 2005.
The choir in the background was actually a choir from the school him and Gi met in. He actually proposed in there as well.
They've been together foreeeeeever and the last song was on McFly's 2nd album on 2005, and it's really all about her. The choir is from the school they went when they were kids, that's where they met.
All the songs are McFly songs altered to fit the speech and it's pretty amazing.
I almost already know all the altered lyrics now, because I watched this video A LOT.

The last song All About You was written for his wife and released as a McFly single. It is still the biggest hit from McFly in the UK. And the choir was from the school where they met each other for the first time, when they were 13. Every one of those songs was meticulously chosen for a reason. He's a genius.

They are, imo, couple goals. I look up to them so much in life. They're the cutest, kindest, most talented, hard working people.

She’s played Young Éponine, Éponine and Fantine in Les Mis, done other shows like heathers, Addams Family, chitty chitty bang bang, Mary Poppins and opens in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new version of Cinderella next year 💕

Tom and Gi are adorable- they met at the school the choir was from and have been together since before the band. They now have three kids and Tom writes children's books and Gi is a best selling author too. If you want to feel warm and fuzzy you should check out the little song videos he did for their kids (from bump to Buzz) I think it's called. McFly were one of the first newer bands that played and wrote all their stuff in the early 2000s, and Tom and his sister Carrie were actually part of the original youtuber lot when youtube was still newer and full of a lot of people making music and vlogs about it. McFly are a really solid band friendship wise, they were all 15-18 when it started and have really shown up for each other when needed. Tom actually did a song with his kids during quarantine which is cute to check out too. They're a really interesti g study actually because they bridged the era of being a band before social media and then as it was taking off so they embraced vlogging and bts videos etc and you really got to know them better than most bands before probably.

Tom and Gi now have 3 adorable little boys. I have enjoyed watching his family grow up through the various videos he posts - starting with his very creative pregnancy announcements, to the amazing video he made documenting Gi's pregnancy and the beautiful song he wrote when his first son was born. Their boys are taking after Mom and Dad by being musically gifted. They have made their own band called Buxby (a combination of their names) and even though the oldest boy is probably only six or seven they are quite good. They will be opening for McFly in no time. You should check out some more of the videos on his channel. His sister (the one he thanked for singing at their wedding) is also a very good singer. She does a lot of musical theatre in London. McFly just released a new song called Happiness that I think you would enjoy.
So glad someone requested this!! Tom never ceases to amaze me with his creativity. You would love his "Bump to Buzz" video that he made for his first child. Also highly recommend McFly's performance of The Heart Never Lies (Live at Royal Albert Hall). That's the song that "Mariooooo" is from, and it's a big song for fans.
You should react to his song bump to buzz next. It’s another one of his videos that went viral and so beautiful. It’s about his newborn son (who is 6 now) don’t want to tell you too much because I don’t want to spoil it

He’s a genious and all the songs were chosen by a reason. “All about you” was written from Tom to Gi and then released with McFly and “Room on the third floor” was the first song Danny and Tom wrote together. So... that had to be the one to McFly 💖

So glad you enjoyed this. I grew up watching/listening to them and I remember walking into a music shop when I was 7 with my mum to buy their first single on CD. I went off them a few years later but then this video came out and went viral and got sucked straight back in again. Radio:ACTIVE is now in my top 5 most listened to albums of all time and that’s with a decade long hiatus with them almost. But if you do go down the rabbit hole, start with the newest single which was released yesterday (it features Mark Hoppus which only made me happier), I’ve had it on repeat the whole day 😂

Tom is a true genius, he sparkles joy and inspiration and I'm so excited that they're back together now. No solo projects (or life) stay in the way of their art at the moment, only the freaking pandemic. They were like 1D in a way but 7 years earlier and with much much less of guidance from the Label and with less promotion scale.
They started at 16, 5 albums in 7 years, lots of touring, lots of promotions. Then they decided that life's too short and started to marry and have kids and that semmed to become a priority. There were real life issues too, unfortunately.
Tom became this amazing childbook author, the rest had their own solo projects like EPs, TV starring, fashion, charity, playing for other band etc. Same time McBusted happened (which i did not dig to be honest, love Busted tho). And now they finally bringing 6th album to the table, that's just something that Tom said in this 7 year old video: McFly never ends. i love that. Yes, i'm not an obsessed teen who loved them unconditionally anymore, my music taste switched its focus from solely Rock-n-Roll, Progressive Pop and 60's since that time. I love all kinds of music while it's high quality. So I'm choosing to love them now and I think it just says even more than dwelling on sweet memories of their raise to fame.
I just wish they would promote better. This time around if you're not on every radio, not in every Late night show, you basically don't exist. I really hope they know that and that we'll have at least UK wide promotion.

(Olly was on X Factor in 2009, the year before One Direction and James won the X factor two years later.) It is a great song - full of harmonies!

They met when they were 13, Tom -for what i know- never dated anyone, Gio was and is the only love of her life. The songs he put on, are mcfly songs, he changed the lyrics, but yes, this sets a bar high for the husbands to be! -hahah-
Unfortunately Steven in Stereo didn't know McFly well enough to know that each section of that was a re-written version from six of McFly's biggest hits (hence the chuckles from the crowd at the start of most of them), and of course the finale was based off the #1 hit he originally wrote to 'G' when he was 17. The Sylvia Young Theater Choir was from the London school for kids talented in the performing arts, where Tom and G first met at 13, and I think they both sang in the choir during their time there. Years after they graduated the school relocated to a better facility and the old building was vacant. Tom managed to take G back there on some false pretense and then surprised her by proposing in what had been the assembly room on the exact spot where they first met, seated next to each other thanks to all the students being arranged in rows in alphabetical order (Fletcher - Falcone) at the orientation on the first day of school.
