I miss the old WATU. “I don’t need blood stains on my hands, to make me feel like I’m a man!!!” Nothing half that good on the new record. 2/10 on the new record. 2 for interesting effects. I enjoyed those. But record lacked heart altogether to me. Felt like a big boring Meh record to me. I hope the next record has WATU return to glory. Everything since Self Care has been weak. It is nice to see people like it though. I came here thinking people were going to be destroy the new record but it seems people are digging it. So that’s awesome for them! Bad for me wanting old WATU type hooks/fast melodic guitars back. But yeah the last 2 releases have me totally scratching my head. I guess at least Keep Flying still plays fast? But they kind of don’t write fast hooks anymore either. So idk. Maybe it’s just me wanting the fast melodic sound to keep going.
