Massive thank you! Was a blast building this one with the prime focus being the exterior details - definitely do agree that the interior isn’t as impressive but lack of complexity meant I had to compromise a lot
@@jinds2242 You had to deal with two major problems every advanced builder has in Lego Fortnite: High complexity and connecting angled pieces to non-angled pieces. Both problems seem to be unsolvable atm. By focussing on the beautiful shape you HAD to make compromises regarding the inside of the castle. 😊

Looks good from a distance but very badly joined up pieces up close.
Thank you! That’s a fair point and I think it comes down to using angled builds, combined with complexity. When building a project on this scale, I had to decide if I wanted to either build half a castle with minimal imperfections or a full castle with many imperfections. In my case, I chose the latter and I think when using this many illegal/tilted building pieces which are not an ingame mechanic, you are inevitably going to get these imperfections.

I am just a perfectionist and also make my builds to be functional.
Admittedly I haven't used any hexagon/octagon shaped buildings yet because they don't make sense for my current projects. Only castles/towers make sense for them.
If I was going to try to do it perfectly then I would test it using the 45 degree angled concrete piece in the stairs build options and then use that piece as the flooring of the tower. Then cover the the gaps with a floor piece that logically makes sense as a sort of step so its not out of place.
That's only for a hexagon shape of course.
That's only something I would test, haven't yet because it not applicable to my builds so far.
I simply of the mind set, if something doesn't align up perfectly then I don't make it. If you can hide the imperfections then that is ideal but if I can't then its needs to be put on hold until there is alternatives to finish it.
