বাহাদুর শাহর জন্ম ১৭৭৫ সালের ২৪ অক্টোবর। মা সম্রাজ্ঞী লালবাঈ। পিতা মুঘল বংশের ১৮তম সম্রাট দ্বিতীয় আকবর। তার জন্ম হয়েছিল ইতিহাসের এক যুগ-সন্ধিক্ষণে। ব্রিটিশরা ততদিনে বাংলা বিহার ঊড়িষ্যা, মহীশূরসহ দেশীয় রাজ্য পদানত করে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছিল উত্তর ভারতের দিকে। ব্রিটিশ আগ্রাসনের থাবায় মুঘল সম্রাটদের সার্বভৌমত্ব কোনঠাসা হয়ে পড়ে কেবল লাল কেল্লাতেই।
Bahadur Shah was born on 24 October 1775. Mother Empress Lalbai. Father Akbar II, the 18th emperor of the Mughal dynasty. He was born at a turning point in history. At that time, the British were advancing towards North India by giving native states including Bengali Bihar Orissa, Mysore. The sovereignty of the Mughal emperors came to naught in the hands of the British invasion only in the Red Fort.
