I lost my big brother to a suicide on November 8, 2020. I love that she is speaking out about her brother. It is difficult to lose a sibling, especially in that manner of way. Much love and hugs to all others that have suffered a loss in a way, shape, or form.
It is difficult to loose a sibling. I lost a sister she was 29 & I was 27 back in 1988. Then I lost a brother when he was 59 & I was 55 in 2016. Thanks for sharing and I am thankful for it. Hang in there girl, is another song - I so believe in so much!
Thabk you for this song, lost my neice to suicide and and I was 10 when she waa born. Growing up we were so close like sisters. She was only 39. Great song thank you for writing it!
Suicide is the hardest loss, we all feel to blame when a loved one does this, please understand, they couldn't find their way to you, you were always there. I have loved a sweet man with so many problems, many the same as mine, I gave him all my love, gave him his own way about everything I could live with, it did not stop what he was headed to. All we can do is let our loved ones know we are there. the pain is unbearable almost, to have this happen, I am so so sorry Ashley, I know the loss, the wanting to take the blame, not understanding, but we must go on loving them and loving ourselves. Bless you girl and your beautiful music, it has helped me in so many ways.
I think nobody will ever understand unless they do. And at that point you have to understand that everybody has a different life in a different perspective and how they're going to see things and that's the beautiful thing about life we all see and perceive things but the loss of a sibling it's unimaginable and you totally embody that.
In the same time I lost my mom and last thing I said: why you not understand us, mom! We enough of you not taking your pills! Then I go away to my work. Then sister called me that’s my mom died. I was sitting just not moving and not talking for 2 hours. Then I cried because I love my mom. I understand you Ashley
Sorry for the loss of your brother ❤ I understand what you mean about your voice or laughter like your brother my father passed away three weeks ago. It’s amazing what you start thinking about and I was like wow my voice is a lot like my fathers. I didn’t realize that. 😢 What’s even more crazy is it morning for my wife? She has liver disease and she doesn’t have very long but then when another family member dies and you’re already grieving is very strange time.
So sorry about the loss ! I knew it was from your heart. I lost my sister also... she would have been 51 on Feb 23rd. the oldest of the 5 of us kids... and I bawled the first time I watched you perform this - having no clue the relation there ♥️ bless you hunni
Sorry for your loss, Ashley. I too have lost one brother last summer. He was the one in my family who “got me” Christian wise. I really wish he was here to talk about the COVID-19 “issue” with me. To help me make sense of this nutty world. Or maybe I don’t want him here to deal with all the BS!
I know how Ashley feels. My brother committed suicide in 1982 when he was 26 years old. I was 24 and it is soooo hard to deal with everything with a suicide
Suicide can also be hastened due to psychiatric drugs; a lot of this is why we have so many soldiers committing suicide. If the pills are making you crazy and feel suicidal, STOP immediately! Even Wellbutrin (given to people to help them quit smoking) can do it!
Sorry for your loss. My grandfather killed himself on my grandparents wedding anniversary. I've known 12 people who have done this. Thankfully I've been lucky enough to save my mother three times. It takes a toll on you.
@@ColleenH38 I had the biggest fear moving away after her second OD. On a Christmas Day about six years ago I went to her house to give her her gift. That's when I found her the third time. She survived and I could not get her to go to rehab. As a law enforcement officer I knew taking out a involuntary order wouldn't help. Soon as they saw she had her right mind I knew she would be released. They can't keep her just because she has a addiction to pain medication. I had told the doctor about her issues. He didn't care. So I had the DEA of my home state do a investigation on how he was prescribing pain medication. It got his attention. She no longer sees him. Her medication has been changed. I had to do what I could to save her. But it wasn't just me who was watching over her God had a role in it too. Music was my dream a long time ago. As I'm getting closer to retirement I'm trying to find my way back to it. We don't know how strong we are until we have to face things and go through it. Be safe and work for the betterment of this crazy world we live in.
@@comestayawhilewithl5696 In 2004 I was in a car accident that led to two spinal surgeries spanning a couple of years. If I had done as instructed by the doctors I would have (a) become addicted and/or (b) died from OD. I knew better and just didn't take the MANY narcotics they prescribed. Many people trust the doctors to keep them safe, or they foolishly think that addiction to prescription medication won't happen to them. They are wrong.
@@ColleenH38 thankfully you did what was right for you. I totally understand people needing medication for physical pain. Sadly some abuse it over emotional pain. I hope you are doing better.
I think you can be at a crazy party and if thag song comes on it can be a really special moment. Like Hardys song Give Heaven Some Hell. If you’ve lost someone close no matter when those songs come on they hit hard
So, if you watched the whole interview with Ashley on this channel this is only a clip of the whole interview, in a way it is clickbait, if you like Ashley and have a short attention span this gets down to the bones fast.
Ashley, you are too cool!!! Love the heck out of you! Wish I could just meet you, hang out, smoke some cigs and write a song together! Would be amazing!!! XOXOXO
Ok, I know her dad and the two brothers she talks about that have not heard the song. They are fantastic people. They lead a completely different life than hers. They are not just terrible people that ignore her.
I love that she’s sensitive to her audience and cares enough to check in with them!!

Ashley , I'm very sorry , I know about loss , I lost my wife in June .
Eric Clapton doesn't play Tears In Heaven anymore at his live shows. He said he just can't play it anymore.
My brother is my best friend and it’ll be gut wrenching if I ever lose that man
The wrong person got Female Vocalist of the Year. I'm just saying. How did #AshleyMcBryde NOT get this award?!?!??!
Got to have sad songs for sad days
Lost my brother few years ago John
New brother named clayton
I am an Ashley Mcbryde and a Luke Combes fan. I am blessed for sure on that count.
I’m so sorry for you loss
I am so sorry Ashley. My mother committed suicide, her sister and her sister's son did as well. It's hard to deal with.

A collab with Luke would be awesome.

Luke & Ashley would be badass... But I gotta say I think a Chris Stapleton colab would be badass too
Write together hell! If there’s not a Luke Ashley duet I will be hillbilly pissed!! Kidding but not really
Hillbilly pissed 😆 I hear that

Interesting.....I had assumed this was about her father
