David de Gea is the one who needs to see this. Everytime I see him have a howler and then lower his head down in shame I know he’s thinking, “What’s happened to me? I used to be so good!” And he still is but he needs to remember that. He’s lost confidence in himself and everytime he goes to make a save he has a sense of doubt, that’s very dangerous for a goalkeeper

People just forget how good he was. He was 3 clean sheets off the golden glove in his worst season and still gets so much hate. They say he cost us points....but they forget he bought us points when the whole team was playing bad and kept us in the top 8 ... almost single handedly. He's a club legend and deserves another chance.

@@Kreaive We have a decent defence...but they have to be consistent. If the whole team plays well I'm sure de Gea will too. He will have more confidence then.
Clean sheets is a statistic which depends on the team. Him having the third most is because we have been better defensively compared to last season where we ranked 11th for goals conceded whilst De Gea was even better back then compared to now.

Stop being deluded no matter how much you love him he’s not the same De Gea from 2 season ago. He’s done a lot for the club but his mistakes will cost us too much going forward if we want to compete for titles in the future unless he has a big turnaround.

Crazy how all this saves are from the time people say he’s been “sh*t”, yet there’s a lot of saves here that many GKs in the world only dream of making. Let alone making so many of them. I do agree that the mistakes have been coming too often but I don’t think it’s because he’s suddenly a “bad” GK, I believe is really a mental thing. He seems to be over thinking some easy shots, where as the ones where he just jumps into action he saves. Maybe a psychologist is what he needs to get in order to break that mental block he currently has. Really hope we see the De Gea we all know he can be this coming season.

It is the truth that david is legend dude to his contribution. But admitt it, every legends wont be as good as they used to be in the future. David saves but also makes mistakes nowadays. I think it is time to give henderson a chance . Best pl goalkeeper this decade and no one comes close. Few mistakes which unfortunately leads to goals but the defence is too weak. The blame always goes to the goalkeepers and people forget Maguire was bought for 80 mil to strengthen the defence but it's still the same
