This guy really knows how to have fun in a homebuilt. My fear was of him getting shot down by a sampan but it looks like he had it pretty much under control... Great video and great guy
So great ! Thanks for an excellent Sonex fun flight! Love that you use it for the fun of flying. Thanks for taking the time to make this video!!! ~From a Sonex Candidate 🔥
thanks for the great video. I never took the time to give the Sonex a look because of the lines but after watching your video I have a lot more interest and respect for the machine. Thanks again.
Excellent video.....I really enjoyed all of it. I am hoping to eventually get a Sonex ....after this video it may be sooner than later. Thanks again for sharing
Abso bloody wonderful Tango Mike....really nice growl from the motor great control, love to have one....I took lessons back in 1982, Cessna 152. Couldnt do any of that, so I looked around for a acro plane...Not much around that was affordable, mostly biplanes and they ran about 50g back then...Ultra lights were just beginning but you couldnt do anything like acrobatics in those either. Here we are and I think I can finally make it all happen...Very happy...
Nice plane great flying you made it look easy ! Man that engine sounds good 👍 I want the xenos B with that engine .Great vid enjoyed that a lot ! Watched it three or four times ✈️
Really enjoyed your video. Now I think I want to find me a Sonex !! I have owned Glasair 1FT, 2 Vari-EZs and Avid flyer and a Phantom plus 6 Bonanzas. Now flying a Comanche 250. Great plane for traveling but nnot a fun plan e w like your Sonex. Love the sound of thaf Smooth running engine
Awesome aircraft and awesome video. I need to stop in your strip one day on the way to my family beach house on Topsail. Again, what a great video, aircraft and pilot!!!!
CAN YOU TELL ME IF YoU GUYS ARE GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER FLY IN.? I KNOW THIS IS BEEN QUIET A FEW YEARS AGO AND THIS IS 2022 SO CAN YOU TELL ME IF YOU STILL HAVE THE PLANE? I LOVE THIS PLANE AND I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN BUYING A PLANE. YOU REALLY DONE A GREAT JOB ON IT I WOULD REALLY LOVE TO OWN ONE.
Tony, I am considering building one of these, and was wondering how tall you are, how much you weigh (your not female so I can ask) and how do you fit? I am 6" and 235lbs and I know the sonex crew is petite compared to me. Thanks for the great video! Ben

This video is why I built my Sonex. 800 hours of flying later and its still one of the best things I've done. Thank you Tony!

Great video how is the ground handling with a taildragger.
Best handing taildragger available! Ground loops DON’T happen in Sonex’s.
VERY NICE. I know exactly where you are!
Enjoyed it! Thanks.
Excellent
Would one of these be a good plane for a new pilot (first plane)?
How does he polish without messing up the graphics/paint?
I love these plains,
Great video. Thanks a million.
tony how much trouble was putting the corvair engine in the sonex?
Gaetano Giordano it’s a 6 cylinder jabiru
