While the player character is allegedly not Mario, the title of the game leads me to believe the ghosts aren't Peach and Toad either. Maybe whatever happened that caused the real Peach's death brought something evil that took on her appearance, then followed by Toad

My theory on why i think mario may have cause peach’s death is that years ago peach was either murdered by Mario or mario broke her heart so badly to the point where she killed herself and after peach’s death the castle became abandoned and haunted but also in a fit of rage her ghost thinks everyone she sees is mario due to the pain that mario had inflicted on her

Maybe peach cheated on Mario and maybe peach dated another men

And Mario murdered peach without any trace and then the castle is haunted in the middle of the night
And Mario heard the news so he went to the castle to see if it was real or fake and he finds out that it was real he trys to hide from the ghost

It was a little frustrating to see you not hiding in chests. The chase is endless, even if they're out of your sight, until you hide in a chest somewhere.
Then again, I guess you already knew that, huh?
The Only Way to end the chase is so hide in the Chest otherwise the know your location. :)
I appreciate that there's more ways to access the courtyard, compared to Super Mario 64 and the previous version of this game.

Mario: The ghost of Princess Peach got Toad, so she decided to act him as an evil ghost like her!
Me: What!?
Luigi: Yeah, he was caught, and she is using him to attack us!
Me: This is impossible. Is there another way to recover Mushroom Kingdom?
Mario: I have a plan - I'll go to the Delfino Plaza and get the F.L.U.D.D. equipment, Luigi will get the Poltergeist 5000 equipment from Professor E. Gadd's Laboratory, and you need to get weapon as well.
Me: I have a hand gun that the oficcers gave it to me with infinite ammunition.
Luigi: Perfect! That should do it.... We will prepare ourselves for tomorrow at night. Be careful, we are going to leave in this green warp pipe we have. Good Luck!
(*The Mario Bros. jumped to the green warp pipe and enter inside to return to Mushroom Kingdom, ready for the big mystery.*)

I don't like her new floating animation, to be honest. Her looking around is fine, but it just felt creepier with her gliding around upright. That said, it works wonders when she's actually chasing you, but not as well when she's just wandering.

Let me tell you the story of the game. Once upon a time, mario got a very urgent work in Brooklyn, so he left the Mershoom kingdom, and then, it's been five years he hasn't visited the kingdom, so he visits, and then, Peach and The Toads are haunted the castle because she's untimely death. I don't how peach died. It should that she got a new boyfriend that mario got jealous and killed her or she sucide her self or she's passed away. I think that she sucide her self, right? But how did the toads die i have no proof. If you got proof, replie me.
