Funny thing: what might be good today could be totally different by the time the expansion actually hits. 'Prepatch' is Blizzards 'live beta' where they can and will nerf/buff classes depending on actual performance. Folks need to choose what they like playing and be good at THAT! I found my fury warrior to be incredibly agile and easy to play. It's never been my 'go to', but I am quickly changing my mind! Since you mentioned it, I totally suspect that there will be a huge crowd of Pallies, which is why I'm more likely NOT play it in War Within. I've been hearing in my guild that elemental shaman are on fire! And sounds as though (and judging by raid attendance) there will definitely be a crowd of elemental shaman. Question about Evoker buff, does the DPS meter actually determine the additional damage your buffs have given other players? See my issue with the DPS meter is that is never actually shows the benefits you have provided to the group. The dude you gave your buff to may have higher dps; and then you can shafted because yours isn't as high. The DPS meter truly does suck because it only shows 'dps' and not really actual game play such as providing extra heals/interrupts/performing proper mechanics. BTW: another youtuber is singing the praises of DPS monks; THEY say THAT is the best dps class for war within. LOL

@@JoshBuesching you can still do that though....You can mount up and still hop off and go into flight form instantly to look around. You don't have to make your flight form into soar at all. You literall can keep your flight form in steady flight at all times. Even when unmounting from your soaring mount. Moonkins can go into their cat form. Where are you getting your information from?
@@novaquinn5323 Unless I've missed something, there was only one way to swap between soar and free flying. There was not an option to select just free flight on the flight form and dynamic flight for dragon mounts. In order to switch, you had to land and then cast the 5 second swap they added. This is why people are upset. As for the moonkin comment, you seem to have missed where I said I miss having the form because I'm feral. The talent is gone, as is all the range enhancing talents. In fact, the only way to get moonkin form now is to be balance. They removed the option in every single other tree. Really excited for frost frostfire mage. Been a frost mage main since vanilla but always felt like mages were at their best when they use a bit of all three schools.
So my question is what is the easiest class to learn for DPS. I haven’t played much since shadowlands launched and all the videos I watch about various classes seem to have so many skills and abilities that you have to cast I. The right order, and as I have been leveling up in MoP Remix on some alts, I don’t feel like the game does a good job helping you learn what abilities you should be using and when. Especially when you grab some of those abilities from the skill trees. I tend to look for passive talents because I feel like the more buttons I have to hit the worse I do because I have to try and get my timing down to maximize my damage.
I'm curious what class is best as in most fun and not stressful to play particularly Delves with. I don't do Mythic+, or Normal+ raids so I am hoping my main choice is good for Delves without getting migraines trying to deal with poor scaling.
Great video as always but I'm confused about the Prot Pally - I've seen a couple of other content creators say it's been hit with the nerf bat and is now the worst tank in the game? I was planning on playing a Prot Pally but others seem to suggest Guardian Druid is the way to go. Lots of interesting - albeit conflicting - opinions!
It's still the weakest tank by a large margin in TWW, but Blizzard historically will fix this heavily. The only issue is if they fix it next week or next season. Unless you're pushing super high keys though you should be fine playing whatever you enjoy.
Unless you are an M+ title chasing or mythic raiding player, Prot Paladin will be fine. Blizzard loves Paladins so chances are it’ll be balanced quickly, but even if not, in mythic+ PUGs people aren’t picky with tanks, they’re hard enough to find, you’ll get invites. You’ll still survive, do good damage, and have incredible group utility. Even at its worst moments a well played prot paladin is a key saver. Play what makes you happy.
Paladin can't be the worst tank in the game because of all their utility. Will interrupt 50 times a dungeon with Avenger's Shield, constant heals around the party, the best stun in the game, great damage, battle ress, and a lot more. Their only weakness is mobility.
I like guardian druid most and is what I usually play. I like the idea of prot pally and it seems and is capable of plenty dmg output and great aoe interrupt with divine toll but I typically enjoy bear cuz I wanna survive soaking up dmg and healing it back while reducing dmg taken with my iron fur armors

What do you think which class can be good for solo pvp (BG, world, solo shuffle)? The aspects mainly, survivability, mobility, self defenses. Thanks your advices!
All three DK specs needed an honorable mention. Blood in my opinion is really fun to play primarily because the healer doesn't have to worry about you thanks to all your HP boosts, damage reduction, and of course healing / shields. Taking grabby hands is a great save a fool CD and looks awesome.
since the tank nerfs, healers absolutely have to worry about you more. Maybe not as much as other specs, but they cant ignore your hp bar - especially against all the tankbusters
It never will. We dont bring nearly the utility or defensives they do even with the changes... its also a way weaker damage profile overall. mm continues to have all the same problems as before just slightly less. I complained about this when they did the first talent pass and then they literally didnt change anything again for the rest of beta and here we are.... and we still have GARBAGE hero talents in terms of gameplay lol its real sad
For anyone who is interested in playing end game content with a mage, just be aware I barely ever see a mage do well in any mythic+ or Heroic raid. If I do, its because mage is their second job.
Thanks for the video! It almost makes me want to go back into the game and either switch my Evoker to the Augmentation spec, or to go back to a Ret paladin. Keep up the good work!
My boyfriend plays one bad ass mean ret paladin and from what ive heard so far they didnt get changed all that much so far which means they should still be doing a great job itd be a solid pick. Ive usually main bear tanked but as a dps he'll pull anything from 700k-1mil dmg depending on if his cd's r ready and how big the pack I pull the more massive I pull he tends to soar in dmg meters its fun to watch lol. Hes even beat other dps even if their rating and/or gear is higher than him which is funny and sad at the same time but yea u probably wouldn't be disappointed pick that ret pally 😇👌

I haven't played wow since midway through Shadowlands, nothing in Dragonflight appealed to me other than maybe talents. I probably won't come back to WoW ever, but I still watch these vids because it's entertaining.
The best class to play is which ever one you enjoy and have fun playing. Dont need a video to tell me that. Its a GAME, you play it to have FUN. Nothing more, nothing less.
Looking at best overall classes and picking Evoker for third place is kind of an insane take. "You'll be good... if you play Augmentation and never want to switch." How is Monk not on this list when all 3 Specs are in a super excellent place now? And what about Shamans with their insane new buffs and various reworks? What about the DKs that everyone is singing praises about currently? How, of all things, Evoker?
Play what you like, not what some list says is best. Especially since it always changing as they buff and nerf all the classes as time goes on. It cracks me up to see people follow lists like this as if they are the commandments being given to us by Moses himself. Have fun the way you want 🎉🎉
I have 3 classes in mind that I will be playing for TWW: Windwalker Monk, Fire Mage and Survival Hunter. I thought about Devastation Evokers and I may try it. I have one but I need to get used to the gist of how to play one correctly before I fully commit to one
Both devastation & preservation (healing) is fun imo I thought it was weird to start but sometimes its worth taking the jump and trying it out a bit to see if u like it cuz u may end up loving it. Preservation has some nice aoe spread heals and is mid range like all the specs so healing on one sorta requires proper set up positioning and some planning but otherwise once u get one down its mobile & pretty fun. 👌
I never invite Aug to my runs coz 99% of them have no idea what they're doing so you just end up boosting them and there's no way to call them out on their BS play
The best class is the one you play is not the best class. The fact that blizzard doesnt given certain needed attention to certain classes makes grouping suck. It is not fun being benched for raids, people dont invite you to groups, and people will literally leave your group if you made the group snd they find out what spec you're playing. This list is helpful to point out playstyles and classes that deal with this less.
As a raider and less of a Mythic+ focusing player, I often play the underplayed classes that give raid buffs to better secure a raid spot. With that in mind, rogue looking good for me for 11.0
@@stylishskater92 You can still play ret, you just gotta work harder at those parses. =). Have a good one. Worgen and goblin female models have underrated animations, that's my silly thing I stand on (but totally believe)
I am a firm believer that you should play what class you want. You're just going to get burnt out forcing yourself to play a class just because it has big damage.
I want to try hard for a chance in TWW, ive been very chill in SL and DF, so my warband is Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Hunter, one of the specs on the 4 classes is bound to be THE no.1. I will try gear gear hunter first but keep up and do at least weeklies on the other 3 and keep up with gear and in case the meta changes I just need to tweak sec. stats but ilvl will all be there already.
@@DonVask It 100 percent is the worst tank right now. That could change tomorrow or in Season 2, but as of right now both Blood and Bear are objectively better.
There shouldn't be a best. I should be able to continue the character that I have played since 2004 without fear of Shizzard making it even worse than they did last time they touched it. I will play my priest, despite the fact it now heals like it's sticking plasters on ever increasing bullet holes.
Even as a mythic raider and higher keys enjoyer I will always play ele/enh shaman. Only if you are competing for the world first you need absolute min max and FOTM specs.
Prot paladin isn't that bad. I did a +4 mist in a mixture of greens, and 6 pieces of epic gear. So I was around like 598 ilvl. Could use a little bump tho, but it's ok.

Hey Kelani this is folks
Looking at best overall classes and picking Evoker for third place is kind of an insane take. "You'll be good... if you play Augmentation and never want to switch."
How is Monk not on this list when all 3 Specs are in a super excellent place now? And what about Shamans with their insane new buffs and various reworks? What about the DKs that everyone is singing praises about currently?
How, of all things, Evoker?
This was 3 weeks ago. Today, Prot Warrior beats everyone ^^
Play what you like, not what some list says is best. Especially since it always changing as they buff and nerf all the classes as time goes on. It cracks me up to see people follow lists like this as if they are the commandments being given to us by Moses himself. Have fun the way you want 🎉🎉
I can't decide between dps warrior or ret pally, both are new classes to me I haven't played since legion.
Hey Kelani! Can you share your UI set up, please?
Aug being an auto invite for M+ is really annoying...was hoping that was gonna change.
I never invite Aug to my runs coz 99% of them have no idea what they're doing so you just end up boosting them and there's no way to call them out on their BS play
My favorite class is in a dire state, I really hope they'll rework rogues somehow but I guess that will not happen
no mention to shaman is bold
The best class is the one you play is not the best class. The fact that blizzard doesnt given certain needed attention to certain classes makes grouping suck. It is not fun being benched for raids, people dont invite you to groups, and people will literally leave your group if you made the group snd they find out what spec you're playing. This list is helpful to point out playstyles and classes that deal with this less.
The class you enjoy. Playing Meta is dumb unless you are part of MDI or something.
Right... except that people NEVER invite you to high keys
I enjoy being invited for high keys.
Ele or surv is my pick
As a raider and less of a Mythic+ focusing player, I often play the underplayed classes that give raid buffs to better secure a raid spot. With that in mind, rogue looking good for me for 11.0
Guess i should shelf the ret pal for this expansion, sigh.
@@stylishskater92 You can still play ret, you just gotta work harder at those parses. =). Have a good one. Worgen and goblin female models have underrated animations, that's my silly thing I stand on (but totally believe)
@@tyrgannusgaming6657if I cared about parsing I would focus on class parsing
@arzos2603 what is class parsing?
@@billymays9296 how you do compared to other who play same spec as you and Ilvl instead of overall
There are 4 roles and only the Druid can do them all !
Tank
Healing
Melee DPS
Ranged DPS
SUMMON INSECURE COMMENT: I HAVE PLAYED (INSERT CLASS HERE) FROM THE START; I PLAY WHAT I LIKE BECAUSE (INSERT SELF-RIGHTEOUS REASON HERE). THE END.
13:20, since when does BoP break fear??
I will keep my BM hunter as main, Alts a Mage, DK but dunno yet for 4th.
How much offhealing can herald of the sun do?
hey folks, this is numbani
Prot paly is definitely the most fun tank
To me, the classes I’ll be playing are: DK, Paladin, and Mage
Give me a "glyph of stars" mechanic to evoker and more races for visage form and I play it for sure
All time visage is coming a bit later in the war within. They have said it
@@riptape :O
@@riptape For Warrior and Mage, not for Evoker
Thanks for the video
Counterarguement. Rider of the apocolypse DK can ride its horse in combat.
Arms Warrior and I'm gonna stand in all the fire.
Every chance I get.
It is the way.
(and probably still get high on the dps meters 😂)
DK is going to be amazing. Your list looks s great though.
Death Knight are by far the best class in TWW atm
So still go with Metzen's fav class.
I am just playing Priest on whichever spec is considered best so I can pug easier cause meta chasers. Shadow looks good tho too
Druid could tank, heal and DPS too ^^
The paladin tank spec isn't clearly under the weather compared to others ? specially versus to dk blood and moon bear ?
Yep. Monk is very very strong in all 3 specs. Should have been number 1 IMO. Monk/Mage - Evoker
@@Lyorian mate your answer has NOTHING to do with my question. I'm talking about palatank compared to the 2 up coming meta ATM.
With War Within being full fledged solo rpg it doesn't matter anymore. Just try each class and pick whatever suits you the most.
Wait what? Paladin shaping up to have all three specs strong. Isn't prot paladin just miserable now?
yup
Prot paladin isn't that bad.
I did a +4 mist in a mixture of greens, and 6 pieces of epic gear. So I was around like 598 ilvl. Could use a little bump tho, but it's ok.
@@TheRandomDude-qy1ev Nice to hear. I just have played so much paladin tank that it really feels the best for me so I will most likely just play that once again... However, I have a tiny metalord inside of me so I will most likely whine all the way before some buffs appear 😂
@@laivasimo8427 Keep whining! The mroe we whine the more buffs we'll get lol.
We will get another buff 100% no worries.
I enjoyed it so much I'm leveling one on live while I wait :) Having a great time with the new xp boosts from pre patch as well. And flying at 20 is amazing.
Yep. Monk should by far be over Paladin
druid for sure, even without watching the video. ahahah
Man DK sure looks good! Love unholy/blood
Prot paladin is the worst tank right now on Beta, unfortunately. Would love to see some of the nerfs reverted to be on par with the other tanks, like the reduction to Sanctified Plates.
I'm making blood DK and then playing havoc dh shadow priest and demo warlock as alts
I’ve been so torn between Hpal, preservation, and r sham, and this video didn’t help at all! All three of the classes look so promising
There is no thing as a best class.... play what you want.
How is paladin above dk
lol what? Prot pally is super underpreforming.
Damnit Fred!
Evoker not number 1? this video is hate :P
I am splitted between Priest or Evoker, cause I want a R-DPS wth Healing-spec too.
Not too add more confusion but Ele/Resto is also looking amazing this xpac! :D
@@mattcyr2109
Crap - lol
@@SigFrid1985hahah
@@SigFrid1985 Haha Yeah If I didn't wanna tank id be going Shammy for sure ( for Ele ) and im usually an Enhance guy haha.
I’m getting the best classes for PvE vibes for some reason.
I'll probably play prot paladin. Even tho everyone is saying they suck.
shaman, hunter, pala
Fire Mage is kinda weak after the huge nerf sadly, we'll see more later in the xpansion.
This is not vanilla. You can play any class that you want
Cant remember 1 expansion when Mage wasnt top tier lol
Burning Crusade, mages were garbage in raids
Seems i will strugle to get in to higher groups with my arms warr again😢
