Here is the 2nd run with my TFL 41" Zonda from Banggood.com. All stock boat (including the TFL two piece flex shafts) except for the Chris Hoffmann (dasboata) props. Not too bad for the 2nd time it ever hit the water. Big shoutout again to Banggood.com for sending this out to me. hey man question what kind of batteries are you running and do you have them in a leather case with leather straps those straps look awesome.
These were some of my older packs I believe they were 5400mAh packs using reinforced RJX hobby straps.

Looking good🏁🏁I just got done emailing Chris about a set of props for the zonda I ordered.he sent me a set of x447 for miss g and I wonder if they would be good on the zonda too.i seen a guy on TH-cam running like 80 with some 1714 props.im still trying to understand props but I think it's the same as a cnc 45mm high pitch?thanks(saying you was too get cnc props...which ones?)
x447 would work but abc 17 series would be much faster and efficient over the x447.The miss g stock props are like a 1715 so maybe you try them on it?
If I were to run cnc props and I wanted to run all the way through the packs Id get 45mm. ABC 17-45 series are a totally different prop than any cnc you can get. Much higher rake and thrust per mm pf prop.
Do two 5000 milliamp hour 6s packs fit in this boat decently? Ive got the Chinahobbyline 70c ones.
I'm not sure.... I only run 4-3s in series. If I had to guess I would say that they would fit by looking at the specs but i'm sure it would be a tight fit though.

Great video! There are a bunch of great tidbits you show and I have a few questions. What batteries would work best? They suggest 4000mAh 14.8/30C you used 5400mAh, is 6000mAh 14.8/50C better? Do you remember the prop size/pitch you got from Chris? Your boat seems to have the ESC's placed towards the rear vs the Zonda on a board near the front. Did you see a balance issue? Lastly the Garmin. What model is that and how did you get the telemetry on the video? Sorry for all the questions and hope you don't mind sharing these answers.
Thanks! My ESC is in the stock position the way it came from the factory. I ran 6s 90c 5400mah I believe in this run. The higher the c rating the better for the boat and batteries. Garmin Vivoactive was the name of the gps. You have to have a gps to save the file as a "gpx" file then you can overlay it over your video in post editing software.
So are the props the secret magic to the crazy speeds? What will a stock boat on 6000mah 100c 6s lipos do with proper grease and set up? 80 ish?
@@RydinginStyle72 Hi Eric, speaking for myself, my Carbon Zonda out of the box with stock props and same batteries you mention I was getting about 60mph on about a 5 second burst. If I had the proper space I think it would top about 65-68?
Then I changed props. I bought the gold coloured ones from Oxidean marine. Quite a bit larger and steeper pitch. Just that got me 89mph on a 5 second burst.
I have not tuned the ESCs. So I am hoping to get steeper props, ESC tuned to get me into the 100mph club. Hope this helps a bit! Have fun!!

I just bought a servox servo and a tactical remote and included tactical 3 channel Reciever for my tfl. No clue what im doing 🤣🤙🏼 im going to try and install that good stuff without blowing up my Boat 🤣 any tips for me ? Cheers !!!
You got it No problems. Change the motor connectors out to 5.5mm bullets instead of the 4mm it comes with. Put EC5 or larger battery connectors and you are good to go. File out the servo opening so it fits well and you are on your way. I'd change out the drives to one piece as well. Much easier to grease than the 2 piece shafts. The replacement of the props is a huge increase in speed.

The retailer of this model I purchased was recommended to upgrade to 180A ESC because 120A ESC is insufficient when using 6S as a motor with genuine specifications.What do you think about this part?

I have no issues with the 120 Amp esc's on most of my boats. the props were from dasboata.com it's best to email him at dasboata@aol.com

Thanks! The stock prop is my favorite if I'm not chasing gps numbers. It handles the best with it. If I only want one or two fast passes then I use the super SonicProp from dasboata.

Does it come with a batteries in the controller?
No batteries or controller. You need radio, batteries and servo.
First maiden run with my zonda last night. It was slow in the opinion. Didn't even seem like it was hitting 50mph at all. My sonicwake v2 was with me and I used both. The SW was flying Mayne hitting 60 now that it's more dialed in. The zonda first run was super unimpressive for me. Don't know why. I do have 2 3s batteries wired in series with thst harness, maybe that's why? I don't have 2 separate 6s packs. But I'm going to get a set and see if that corrects the boat. It was the first time out with it so I'm unsure as to why it was so slow, and its the version with the seaking 180s. I have the carbon fiber one
the zonda will do 55-60mph bone stock with unprepped stock props. Put on some super zonda props from dasboata and can be in the 100mph + club easily running everything else stock.

There can't be that much of a 40-mile difference between stock and tuning props! Almost two times! What else was changed?
You witnessed the unedited video right? Only change is props and tuning. Hopefully next run will be more mph than this.
If you go back and watch the maiden voyage video again, you can actually hear how wet the hull runs. Also, those stock rough props are not very good. I just ordered the new sefl righting Pursuit as a fun toy thing, and I expect it to gain maybe 12 mph just by going to a CNC prop and setting the angle. There might even be more in it. That's a big gain for a small 4S mono hull. Cats respond more to settings as it has a lot to do with getting them to pack and run loose.

That's all stock and u went that fast? As I was checking some of the reviews someone said they had to put high performance props just to get 65 mph. Unless that was an older review and the manufacturer did some upgrades since then. Was looking to buy one but not worth it if its only 65 mph.

Nice! Congrats on the boat! I believe it's a Garmin Vivoactive I've had it for a few years. The overlay is from my software from my garmin camera. Any log file will work for the overlay if the gps saves files as GPX or Fit files.

@@DanielReadyhough Yes I've ordered a lot from Banggood.com. This boat took longest of all to reach me because of the Corona virus. It was sent Mid March and I received it at the end if April. However I ordered another boat and a couple other items around the 10th of April and got the boat the first week of May but still waiting on the rest of the order. It will come that always come sometimes a little quicker than others. The shipments from overseas are really backed up from all of this. The processing time generally is that they have the boat in their supply line and its only waiting to be pulled for shipment. It looks like both the black and white versions are in stock as of now though. It will come. I have always got everything I've or a ered from them.

Why tape you the Boot? So Bad Quality?
Tape has to hold the hatch on along with providing a waterproof seal.
