I love this song! The Buttercream Gang is one of those life changing movies I watched when I was little.

This song will always bring me nostalgia... Pete, in the movie, reminded me of my older cousin of about 5 years. He was in and out of trouble but I always knew the other side of him. I never feel into the things he did and he made sure I never saw it. Pete was a good kid, a great friend and he built great moments and memories with the boys. Much like my cousin and us younger boys of the family. Sadly, there hasn't been much of a happy ending for my cousin but it's hard not seeing him the same way I saw him as Pete 20 years later. This movie means quite a bit actually and this song just brings it all back - the happiest of memories.
My grandma gave my brothers and I the Buttercream Gang when we were really young. She died last year and this song reminds me of her 😔

I remember watching this and being confident that I was more like the good guys then the wayward ones and always would be. Especially when this song came up. God help me I really miss that life and the person in it. Once you lose you innocence you can never get it back.
