Hats off to Allama Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi for his presence at a gathering that sought to bridge the disputes between Sunni and Shia Muslims. However, as a Sunni, I disagree with Dr. Zakir Naik on the issue of Yazid ibn Muawiya. I understand the sentiments of my Shia brothers on this matter. Despite the differences, Allama Hussain Naqvi attended the event and extended a warm welcome, which demonstrates that intellectual disagreements should remain within the field of knowledge and not turn into hostility or violence. Differences in opinion should be addressed with love and respect, while maintaining a scholarly approach. In the world of knowledge, emotions have no place. Indeed it is a great message from both the personalities towards their audience.

شیعہ علماء نے اسلام کی ترقی کی خاطر ہمیشہ وحدت و اتحاد میں پہل کی ہے اور آگے بھی کرتے رہیں گے اگرچہ کچھ مسالک ان پر کفر کا فتویٰ لگاتے رہے لیکن انہوں نے ہمیشہ امن کا پیغام دیا البتہ یہاں پر جہلاء کی بات نہیں کی جا رہی ہے بلکہ علماء کی بات کی جا رہی ہے
اور دوسری بات وحدت کا مطلب یہ نہیں ہوتا کہ اپنا عقیدہ چھوڑ دیں بلکہ جو دونوں میں مشترکات ہیں اس پر متحد ہوں اور تفرقہ بازی سے پرہیز کیا جائے جو کہ قرآن کا حکم ہے کہ "واعتصموا بحبل اللہ جمیعا ولا تفرقوا" البتہ اپنے اپنے عقائد کا دفاع بھی اس انداز سے کیا جائے کہ دوسرے کی توہین نا ہو بلکہ علمی لحاظ سے آداب و احترام کو ملحوظ خاطر رکھتے ہوئے اپنے عقائد کو قرآن و احادیث و عقل سے ثابت کرنا اور اس پر گفتگو کرنا ہر ایک کا حق ہے جسے امت مسلمہ کو سمجھنا چاہیے

سوال یہ ہے کہ اس عمل پر اتفاق کیوں نہیں کہ ہاتھ کھول کر یا باندھ کر اور اگر باندھ کر تو کس مقام پر ہاتھ باندھ کر نماز پڑھی جاے- ایسا کیوں ہوا جبکہ حضور نے 23 سال یہ عمل مختلف مقامات پر کیا لیکن مسلمانوں میں اس عمل پر اتفاق نہیں کہ حضور(ص) نے ہاتھ کھول کر یا باندھ کر اور اگر باندھ کر تو کس مقام پر ہاتھ باندھ کر نماز پڑھی- - آج کا مسلمان یہ پوچھنے پر حق بجانب ہے کہ ایسا کیوں ہوا اور دین کے اس اہم رکن میں کیوں تفرقہ پڑا، سوچیے! نیز، اس سے یہ پتہ چلا کہ دودھ میں کتنا پانی ملایا گیا-
